There are some great lake views from the hotel and from the rooms as well. The views add an extra touch of opulence and luxury to the property.

Overall, the food served here is of a very standard and guests repeatedly appreciate it, especially the breakfast, which is described as excellent.

    Great wellness facilities.

The spa, the sauna, the steam room and the indoor pool are all excellent and are very much appreciated, especially because there are some spectacular lake views to be seen right from where the spa facilities are. more less

Temperature control trouble – too warm.

There have been complaints that the temperature is too high in the rooms and temperature control in general is a problem.

    Limited space in restaurant.

Some of the guests have complained that there was no proper bar area in which to relax, in spite of the presence of the Boathouse Bar. Also, restaurant space is rather limited, so some guests have had to drive into the local town to eat, which was a bit of a bother. more less

    Internet signal weak, hotel overpriced.

There have been complaints that the Internet signal is quite weak here, possibly because of the hotel’s rural location. Other guests have complained that the hotel tariffs are high. It is a four star hotel, but many feel that in comparison with other comparative hotels in the same region, the value is somewhat less. The hotel offers midweek breaks which feature more accessible tariffs and this definitely goes down well with guests who love a touch of luxury but might be on a budget. more less
