Hotels.com or booking.com
I know lots of people use booking.com. Which of these two would you choose?? Booking.com is more expensive by €13 a night as compared to hotels.com.

Both are very reputable OTA s, and two of the three biggest globally. If the property you are choosing is a large hotel, it s very rare for there to be a disparity between the two, as they both have rate clauses in their contract for the hotel. It s possible that Hotels.com – through Expedia, have an internal discount active with the hotel.
Check to make sure you are comparing exactly the same product with identical cancellation and payment policies. Otherwise you aren t comparing apples to apples
I m booking derby Swiss quality hotel from 2 to 5th may. Single room. Under agoda there s 5 different prices for this single room.
1. Standard single room- special offer CHF115
2. Standard single room special offer (most popular room choice CHF 105.01
3. Standard single room non refundable CHF 122.29 ( earn airasia BIG points 5350)
4.standard single room non refundable CHF 110.79
5. Single standard room pay at hotel CHF 122.35
Other sites like booking.com and hotels.com only has one option. This is my first time booking through agoda
You need to look at the terms and conditions of each rate as well as the terms of hotels.com. For example, your # 4 and 5 choices show the difference of pay now when you book without possibility of cancelation or changes or pay at the hotel. What are the cancellation terms with option 5? You have to read the terms then decide what is best for you.
The terms are the same. Like number one and two. No difference
It s also worth checking whether there are any extras included in the higher priced rate. I m not saying there will be, but there might be better wi-fi, breakfast or some other perk worth paying more money for.
I d use either Booking.com or Hotels.com, as KVE says both are reliable.
How about agoda?? Any experience booking from them??
I ve never used Agoda. I m not saying I wouldn t, if the deal was good enough, but I d read the T C s very carefully first!
The recommendation for Agoda on this thread was from someone who has a complaint with Booking.com. Not that there opinion should be discounted, but it is only one opinion. Others have used booking.com and like it.
If your terms are the same with Agoda for option 4 or 5, that is you can not cancel your booking, I guess the only decision is do you want to pay now and save or pay more later.
If you want the security of a reservation that can be canceled does booking.com or hotels.com offer that?
Agoda and Booking.com are both part of the Priceline group. I ve used Agoda for bookings in Thailand and Malaysia with no issues, they re generally well reagarded on the SE Asia forums.
