You could never cover the vast choice of hotel booking sites yourself, and so would more than likely miss out on the best deals. A great way to save time and money .

However, if you’re looking for a specific travel deal (hotel + flight for example) or a different type of accommodation (hostel or vacation rental) the following 10 best hotel websites have proven the most consistently useful for finding accommodation when traveling.

De Haan is assuredly the most inviting of the West Flanders coastal towns, with its small but community-driven population, tranquil open stretches of white sand, and old-fashioned promenade dotted with independent beachfront stores. There are no high rises in Da Haan, which allows for its rich and colorful Belle Epoque style buildings to stand out, and its large green public parks to thrive.

Best Bruges Hotels

Belgium’s second city, known as Brussels’ little sister, is just one-hour’s train ride from the Belgian capital. At the centre of Brugge lies the beautifully-preserved 13th century city, a Unesco World Heritage Site, criss-crossed by narrow canals.

There are plenty of things to do in Brugge, in amongst the historic buildings. Admire Flemish art in the Groeninge Museum, and experience the surreal work of Magritte in the Altenloh. Order waffles and a local beer in a sidewalk café, and hop on a canal boat or sightseeing bus. This pretty city, with its lace-makers and chocolate shops, regularly attracts more visitors than its one hundred or so hotels can accommodate, so it’s advisable to book a hotel room in Bruges early.

Car rental services in Bruges offer the opportunity to visit the nearby towns of Antwerp, Leuven and Ghent.

Malta is infused with centuries-old traditions and captivating customs, from the sizzling Sicilian influenced cuisine to its many intoxicating annual music festivals. Things to see Culture-lovers will find no shortage of mesmerising architectural marvels to pour over in Malta. Valletta’s St. John’s Co-Cathedral, with its copper-coloured smooth-stoned facade and lavish, bronze-clad Baroque interior is sure to bewilder. After, take a trip along the narrow roads to the Rotunda of Mosta, a silver-speckled domed Roman Catholic Church, before indulging in a cool ice-coffee in one of the riverfront cafés. To make your cultural exploration of Malta complete, visit the National Museum of Fine Arts, which showcases extensive galleries of resplendent Maltese and European paintings, as well as other-worldly contemporary work. Malta’s vast and varied beaches offer something for sun-seekers and water sport enthusiasts alike. The small, palm-lined beach of Paradise Bay is family-friendly and uncrowded, whereas Golden Bay beach is an enormous stretch of white sand popular with both sunbathers and surfers. Hotels in Malta Malta hotels range from comfort and affordability to lavish luxury. The popular beaches are lined with resorts, beginning with glitzy 3-star complexes and ending with sleek, 5-star spas, where enormous pools, palm tree gardens and indulgent in-room service await. Affordable apartment rentals are another popular accommodation choice, especially for families, as the large multiple rooms and convenient kitchenettes make for a spacious and laid-back stay. Urban adventurers travelling on a budget will find several youthful and homely hostels in the city centres, and a large campsite set in the honey-coloured Malta countryside. Where to stay Valletta is the place to stay for those seeking a perfect blend of golden beaches, spellbinding culture and intoxicating nightlife, where the strum of guitars and the resounding reverberations of hornpipes fill the air. To the north-west of Valletta, Mosta is a small adjoining town, ideal for those seeking a quieter stay with easy access to the rolling rocky patchwork of Malta’s green and amber countryside. To get a taste of true Malta culture, stay in the northern town of Mellieha, a historic fishing village where the tantalising scent of fresh caught lemon-soaked fish wafts across the calm bay. Hotels in Scarborough

Best Scarborough Hotels

If you’re looking for the home of the Great British seaside getaway, look no further than Scarborough. At the heart of staycations before there was a name for them, Brits have been flocking to the sandy beaches and Victorian Spa for their medicinal qualities for centuries. These days, with the Spa having been made-over into the modern era and now home to entertainment and conferences, and the promenade transformed into a place you can surf the web as well as stroll with an ice cream, Scarborough has everything in place to claim its crown back as one of the nation’s best-loved beach resorts.

Scarborough’s main draw is the South Bay Beach, home to the Victorian Spa which made the place such a draw for holidaymakers wanting to relax and convalesce. The sandy beaches of the Bay are certainly family-friendly, but there’s plenty for grown-ups too, as the marina crammed full of yachts and pleasure boats proves. The Spa isn’t just home to spring water, it’s home to concerts and shows during the holiday season too. As well as the Victorian Spa’s offerings, there’s plenty of culture to be found at the Open Air Theatre, which is home to many of the biggest names in pop and entertainment throughout the high season. It’s just one of the many attractions on the North Bay, which has a more ragged sort of beauty, with rock pools and rocky outcrops giving it a rugged look, while its beaches and water are often the site of adventurous water sports enthusiasts.

Hotels in Scarborough

In the center of Scarborough you’ll find a number of four and five star hotels, which come with flat-screen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities. Slightly further out of town, you’ll also find a number of guest houses and lodges offering a similar level of service in the leafier suburbs of the city. Hotels in Scarborough can fill up fast during summer, so it’s worth booking well in advance.

With so much on offer in the two main Bays, as well as with the shops, arcades and amusements available in town, most hotels cluster around the city center itself. You’ll soon discover that most of the highlights are within walking distance, while the South Bay Beach has a handy cliff lift linking it to the center. As well as lazing on the beaches and visiting the Spa, you can while away the hours playing on the arcades and indulge your sweet tooth with some traditional Scarborough rock. You can even sample that most British of delicacies – the roast dinner – as a takeaway.

Scarborough is well connected by rail to a number of cities within the UK, with trains regularly from Leeds, Hull and York on an hourly basis, with journey times of around an hour from each, arriving at Scarborough Station. The station is around 15 minutes’ walk from the South Bay Beach, but there are also regular bus services available. When in Scarborough, you’ll most likely want to walk around, and while traffic is allowed in town a popular park and ride scheme is in place to encourage visitors to leave their car out of the city center.

Best Ibiza Hotels

Ibiza Hotels Ibiza is an island of contrasts, from areas where the party never stops, to small, winding streets full of quaint restaurants, there’s a place to suit every kind of tourist. The clubs are legendary, with pounding music, bright lights, and even foam parties going on until dawn, with the parties often moving to the pools and beaches. However, there are also plenty of quiet resorts full of the traditional white buildings and golden sandy beaches that make Ibiza such a paradise. Figueretas Beach is a sandy beach with sparkling turquoise waters and palm trees, and along the beachfront you’ll find many stylish hotels and apartments. There’s also a palm-tree lined promenade which is host to several bars and restaurants, many of which have tables outside so you can enjoy a glass of wine while looking out at the ocean. Figueretas is also an interesting small town to explore, with arts and crafts stalls lining the streets, quirky gift shops, and laidback bars. The Port of Ibiza is surrounded by the traditional white houses the island is famous for, and you’ll see fishing boats, yachts, and cruise ships pulling in to spend time here. It’s a historic area with Roman, Arabic, and Catalan influenced architectural styles, and plenty of museums and cultural events to keep you entertained. A short walk from the port you’ll also find Ibiza Castle which sits atop a hill overlooking the bay. Here you’ll get an excellent view of Ibiza Town, and can explore the small, hilly streets that lead up to the castle, with cozy restaurants and bars that are lit up at night. Close to Ibiza Town there’s also the popular Talamanca Beach which is a long, family-friendly stretch of shore with shallow waters where you can paddle, play games, and hire small boats. Hotels in Ibiza A lot of visitors to the island are looking for cheap Ibiza hotels, and there are lots of budget apartments and guesthouses close to the beach. Rooms often have air-conditioning, with extra amenities such as balconies, satellite television, kitchenettes, bathtubs, bidets, and sofa beds. Most hotels also have plenty of extra features to help you make the most of your stay, and these could include outdoor pools, children’s pools, restaurants, bars, concierge services, currency exchanges, and game rooms. Where to stay Ibiza has several areas that are lively and full of clubbers, as well as quieter beach resorts that are perfect for families. San Antonio is known as the clubbing capital of the world, with the narrow streets lit by neon at night, and promoters trying to tempt you into the wide range of clubs. Many of the resorts here cater to the younger crowd, and you’ll often find parties on the beach and around the pool even during daylight hours. Areas such as Playa d’en Bossa are quieter, yet still have some great upmarket resorts, and the unspoiled beaches and traditional white houses make this a charming and quaint area. How to get to Ibiza Ibiza Airport is 5 miles southwest of Ibiza Town, with dozens of flights arriving from around Europe on a daily basis. From the terminal there are lots of private shuttles for the hotels and resorts, as well as plenty of taxis that can be booked in advance or picked up from the rank. There are also rental cars and mopeds available, and you can drive the length of the island in less than an hour. There’s also a public bus service that runs from outside the airport to the major resorts on the island, giving you a cheap way to get around.

Best Berlin Hotels

Whether you’re a hipster or a history lover, Berlin is a city break destination that ticks every conceivable box. Its music scene is legendary – the clubs and bars setting trends that the rest of Europe follows – and artists and photographers flock here to soak up the city’s bohemian vibe. Then there’s the architecture, the wide squares, bustling boulevards, and ornate monuments, many lovingly reconstructed since the dark days of the war and the Berlin Wall. There are also tourist attractions aplenty – animal lovers in particular have to see Berlin Zoo, arguably the greatest of its kind in the world.

A sprawling public square, Alexanderplatz is one of the busiest hubs within the central Mitte district – it’s where you’ll find the unique World Time Clock, a curious cylinder topped with an intricate sculpture of an atom. Nearby is the Fernsehturm, or TV tower, which reaches almost 400 meters into the sky and affords visitors jaw-dropping views across Germany’s capital. As well as gazing out from the observation deck, you can also relax in the bar and restaurant. For world-class shopping, take a stroll down the Kurfuerstendamm, or Ku’damm as locals call it. This long and handsome boulevard is lined with independent boutiques, bars, and cafes, and is a must-see for any visitor. The Brandenburg Gate, meanwhile, is to Berlin what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. A symbol of the city since the 18th Century, its vast columns and proud chariot sculpture have been a focal point for rallies and historic speeches for generations. Want to enjoy some drinks after a day’s sightseeing? Stroll over to Hackescher Markt, one of the city’s bohemian districts famed for its relaxed and colorful nightlife.

Hotels in Berlin

As one of Europe’s major capital cities, Berlin has hotels for every kind of traveler. There are plenty of high-end establishments offering indoor swimming pools, luxuriant spas, and massage treatments, and rooms fitted with sumptuous Egyptian sheets and antique furnishings. Equally, you can find quirky boutique hotels in Berlin done up in a more minimalist, Bauhaus-inspired style, as well as good, reliable cheap chains that will do the job if your priority is to work or sightsee, rather than spend time in the hotel itself.

For tourists and business travelers alike, the Mitte district is an ideal place to stay. It’s the very heart of the city, offering swift access to office complexes and top attractions like the city’s many museums clustered on the aptly-named Museum Island. Alternatively you can choose to book your Berlin hotel in the Charlottenburg district. This is best known for the handsome Baroque and Rococo sprawl of Charlottenburg Palace, which is well worth a visit if you’re in the area (or even if you’re not). Another enjoyable district is Prenzlauer Berg, which is a real social hotspot with enough pubs, restaurants, and galleries to keep you occupied for days.

Flying into Berlin? You may land at Tegel Airport, which is the largest hub for international travel in the area and is well located for the city – a taxi or bus ride will get you into the thick of things in no time. Budget airlines fly into Schoenefeld Airport, which is situated a bit further away from the city, while trains from every corner of Europe come into Berlin Central Station. A futuristic marvel of glass and steel, it’s an attraction in itself.

Best Venice Hotels

The very word “Venice” is one of the most evocative in the language. Immediately thoughts of winding waterways, elegantly dishevelled old buildings, and bobbing gondolas come to mind. Luckily, the real Venice lives up to even the most romantic visitor’s preconceptions: there really is no other place like this on Earth, with its magnificent Renaissance, Baroque, and Venetian Gothic architecture, the sweeping splendor of the Grand Canal, and landmarks like the Ca’Rezzonico. Drift along the Grand Canal, poke around the markets, feast on traditional dishes like cuttlefish in its own ink and salt cod whipped up with olive oil and garlic – this is a city break with a difference.

St Mark’s Square is the heart of Venice, so vast yet curiously intimate-feeling, perhaps because of the crowds it draws, and the many cafes and bars to sit at. It’s the best place to relax and people-watch, and you can also look up at famed landmarks such as the winged Lion of Venice on its tall column, the Campanile bell tower, and of course St Mark’s Basilica. One of the greatest churches on the planet, bedecked with ornate domes, this Byzantine masterwork is just as staggering on the inside with its gold mosaics and rich artworks. Elsewhere in Venice, seek out the Rialto Bridge, its iconic arches crossing over the Grand Canal, and the Bridge of Sighs, carved from white limestone (it’s said that if lovers kiss beneath it at sunset, eternal bliss will be theirs). Then there’s the Lido, perhaps the most glamorous part of the city, with sweeping beaches and proud hotels, known the world over as the setting for the Venice Film Festival.

Hotels in Venice

What with its architectural wonders, its unique waterways, and its reputation as a romantic getaway, there is certainly no shortage of hotels in Venice. Many of which can be on the pricey side, it has to be said. Then again, you’ll be rewarded with an experience to remember: views over the canals, exquisite on-site restaurants serving up freshly prepared seafood, and modern conveniences like free WiFi. Of course, there are cheap hotels in Venice to be found as well – have a good look around online to compare deals.

The area round St Mark’s Square is a magnet for visitors and it’s true that if you really want to be immersed in Venice at its most characteristically picturesque, booking a hotel in this area will do the job nicely. That said, it’s also worth looking at places in other areas. Cannaregio is just as ravishing, for example, and also happens to be where the old Venetian Jewish ghetto was based – it’s a must for history lovers. For proper pampering, though, the Lido is the place to be – staying at one of these hotels will also give you access to the private beaches beloved by Hollywood stars during the Film Festival.

There are two main international gateways to Venice. One is Marco Polo Airport, which is only a few miles from the city and has flights to and from a conveniently wide variety of cities across the world. From here you can get to Venice by water taxi or on one of the public boats. Meanwhile, budget airlines fly into Treviso Airport – the only downside being it’s slightly further out. You can also get into Venice by train, with Venezia Mestre Station being your last stop on the mainland before pulling into Venezia Santa Lucia amid the gorgeous buildings and waterways of old Venice.

Best Birmingham Hotels

Striking steel and glistening glass buildings have replaced many an ugly 1960 office block, and there are canalside galleries, modern malls, and museums catering to every taste dotted around Birmingham’s buzzing streets. The center of town is bursting with chic restaurants, aromatic curry houses, and traditional pubs hosting live music events. ‘Brum’, as the locals have affectionately dubbed it, is surprisingly green too, with large expanses of lush parkland and a labyrinth of winding canals which provide respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The futuristic Bullring shopping centre is an impressive sight. Covered in gleaming glass, it’s a striking icon of the city and home to sleek designer stores, high street staples and eateries offering everything from fast-food to full-blown three-course meals. As you enter, you can’t miss the five-tonne bronze bull sculpture which welcomes shoppers from all over the world. It’s here you’ll also find the four-floor Selfridges department store which dazzles with its sparkling aluminum disc façade. The NEC stands wide and proud near Birmingham International Airport and its 20 inter-connected halls, expansive outdoor space, and LG Arena play host to major events and exhibitions as well as some of the biggest names in the music industry who put on high-energy shows to entertain thousands of fans. There’s never a dull moment in Broad Street, Birmingham’s pulsating entertainment heart. From chortlesome comedy nights to chic clubs to canalside bars to cinema complexes, the choice is endless.

Hotels in Birmingham

There’s no lack of hotels in Birmingham, with the city offering numerous options, especially when it comes to mid-range choices. The good value, big name chains fight for attention and cater well to family stays in the city with plenty of amenities such as WiFi and satellite television to keep all ages happy. When it comes to full-blown luxury, you can expect hotel rooms with sweeping views of the city’s skyline, as well as facilities including swimming pools and in-house fine dining experiences. Brum’s not short on B & Bs or budget hotels either, just be prepared to stay in a more suburban setting.

Birmingham’s a sprawling city, and a stay within the city center itself will allow visitors to Birmingham to stroll around comfortably on foot thanks to conveniently pedestrianized walkways. The leafy area of Solihull, with its expensive-looking mansion houses, is another convenient hotspot and only a short distance from Birmingham Airport and the NEC. Edgbaston is similarly green and another well placed area to stay, especially for those into sport as it offers easy access to Edgbaston Cricket Ground as well as good value for money.

Birmingham International Airport is the gateway to the city for many arriving from abroad, and there’s a free Air-Rail link from the airport to Birmingham International Rail Station. From here you can catch a train to New Street Station which will whisk you to the center of the city in less than 20 minutes. New Street Station is also well-connected to the rest of the UK, with direct links to the likes of London, Edinburgh, Oxford and Bristol. Within the city, you can travel around by light rail metro, bus or even ride the local canals by water bus.

Hotels in Bournemouth

Best Bournemouth Hotels

Reclining on the south coast of England, Bournemouth exists at a relaxed pace. A popular resort for well over a century, it’s a welcome cliché of invigorating air, pleasant weather, and clean seas gilded with sandy beaches. Despite its reputation as a retirement town, the Dorset haven has since been rejuvenated by a trendier, more bohemian crowd; earning it the nickname ‘BoMo’. Now a colorful destination, Bournemouth is awash with fabulous amenities, plenty to do and a buzzing nightlife. Of course, it still retains that British seaside charm.

Bournemouth’s biggest draw is undoubtedly its coast. With views of the Purbecks and Isle of Wight, the seven mile stretch of clean, golden beaches are considered as some of the best in Europe. The famous pier offers some good old-fashioned family fun with a games arcade at the entrance, whilst a traditional theater and café are located on the pier itself. The Bournemouth International Centre is the largest entertainment venue in the area, hosting some of the biggest stars in music – so check what’ll be on prior to your visit. For tropical fragrance and Victorian fancy, take a turn around Bournemouth’s tranquil lower gardens. With outdoor concerts held during the summer months and views to the sea, you can spend an afternoon picnicking before inhaling the famously healthy air of the Pine Walk. Described by some as Bournemouth’s scruffier younger sibling, Boscombe is home to The O2 Academy and an array of quaint antique shops.

Hotels in Bournemouth

The town has been a holiday hotspot ever since the 1800’s, when the Victorians descended and built an impressive portfolio of lavish accommodation for England’s holidaying high society. With such establishments still operating today, hotels in Bournemouth all follow a common theme: sheer relaxation and genteel leisure. The luxury laden options boast health and beauty spas, indulgent dining, and breezy sea views. Many of the reasonably priced mid-range hotels also provide leisure facilities, along with one or two posh accoutrements. For those on a budget, cheap hotels in Bournemouth come in the form of well known chain hotels and cheerful B & Bs.

A hotel in Bournemouth town center puts you at the heart of all there is to experience. With a barrage of just-so restaurants and cafés, shops, and boutiques selling everything from well known brand goods to vintage apparel, there’s always somewhere to splurge. If shopping takes its toll, then the town center’s award-winning gardens are an oasis of calm, where you can refuel with an ice cream. Bournemouth isn’t so large that walking everywhere is impossible, and you’re never far from the beach, but for slightly longer distances buses run frequently about town – making getting about as breezy as the sea air.

International visitors will possibly touch down at Bournemouth International Airport. Located just 4 miles north of Bournemouth, various European airlines fly directly there. If you’re coming from further afield however, then nearby London Heathrow and Gatwick are better connected gateways. Getting to Bournemouth by train is simple, with direct services from London Waterloo to Bournemouth Station operating regularly, whilst many trains from the north terminate at Bournemouth. For the budget holiday maker, buses and coaches are much cheaper, with the National Express Bus taking 2.5 hours to reach the resort from London. Once there, a bus or cheap taxi can whisk you away to your hotel.

Had a lovely time at the Holly Beach B B, I will definitely visit again. Rob and Cindy– EXCEPTIONAL Host and Hostess. They go above and beyond to make their guest feel welcomed. The place is immaculate. I went on a GF getaway, but will be taking my family back next time they have a cottage in the back which sleeps four, two bedroom, full kitchen and bath. I had took a book from the library (she keeps a library upstairs for guest movies and books) but, I didn’t get to finish it and I had mentioned to Cindy in general conversation I would have to find and purchase the book. she told me to keep it but to pass it along when I finished it, because it wasn’t doing anything for anyone sitting on the shelf . Hotels in Rome

Best Rome Hotels

A seat of learning, culture and artistic grandeur, Rome is a museum without walls. At one point, all roads led to Rome, but even if the Empire is gone the city bears all the hallmarks of its incredible past at the forefront of human civilization. With medieval, Etruscan, baroque and modernist architecture and art all rubbing shoulders, from ruins to relics and the seat of the Catholic Church, this is a place full to the brim with classical lines, priceless artefacts and unforgettable panoramas. Add to that Rome’s culinary excellence and its bustling nightlife and you have one of the great global capitals.

Nothing quite blends Rome’s past with its present with as much elegance as the Trevi Fountain. Designed with grandeur in mind, it was completed in 1762 and is a spectacular example of baroque sculpture, complete with its statues of the god Neptune, two Tritons and a horse. Redesigned when the Pope declared that it wasn’t theatrical enough in the 1600s, this fountain has inspired songs and even featured prominently in that masterpiece of Italian cinema, La Dolce Vita. Dating back a little further, to 80 AD in fact, the Colosseum was originally home to the pitched battles of gladiators. These days you can avoid the bloodshed, but are able to tour the arches of this incredible amphitheatre. You can soak up even more ancient Roman grandeur with a trip to another brilliantly preserved reminder of ancient Rome, in the shape of the Pantheon, a domed temple built to honor the city’s former gods in around 118 AD.

This city, being home to centuries of Imperial grandeur, knows a thing or two about luxury. As such, you’ll have no problem finding five-star hotels in Rome, where you can expect complimentary WiFi and flat-screen televisions as standard, but will also encounter a host of more unique treats from the high-end hotels. From rooms with rugs and bedding modelled on the Vatican City’s regal colours to rooftop restaurants, marble fireplaces and period furnishings there’s plenty of glamorous features on offer. The buildings themselves are often works of art, with custom-built chains competing against column-fronted guest houses, tree-lined spas and hilltop Chateaux.

Set among cobbled streets, the neighborhood around the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain is the perfect spot for shopping, with countless couture stores. To the north of the center, Piazza Navona is a brilliant slice of baroque, within close walking distance of the Pantheon and the bustling market square of Campo de Fiori, a perfect place for bargain hunting or watching street performers as you nibble some of the best fruit in the city. For a more historical stay, you might want to head south to the area around the Roman Forum and Colosseum, which is full of ancient ruins and temples.

Rome’s main airport for international visitors is Leonardo Da Vinci Airport, which is around 30 kilometres out of the center. A direct express train runs into the center of town every 30 minutes, taking around 30 minutes to get you into the heart of the action. There is also a shuttle bus which runs seven times per day. The city’s main train station, Stazione Termini, operates rail services to and from a host of European cities and many internal services, and is centrally located. The smaller Ciampino Airport is used by budget airlines, and is around 15 kilometres southeast of the city, with a regular coach service connecting it to central Rome.

Hotels in Los Angeles

Best Los Angeles Hotels

It’s the creative powerhouse of the United States, where every other person’s an aspiring screenwriter, actor, model, or rock star. That’s the stereotype, anyway, and it says a lot about the air of glamor that Los Angeles exudes. This is not so much a city as a whole world into itself – from the perfect surfing to be had on the beaches to the dream factory of Hollywood, from the decadent bars and clubs of Sunset Boulevard to the money-hungry buzz of the financial district, every part of LA thrills the senses. There’s nowhere else like it.

One of the top family-friendly attractions in LA is Santa Monica Pier. This isn’t just about sweeping sea views – the pier also boasts Pacific Park, a compact wonderland with thrill rides and a Ferris wheel, and countless stands selling hot dogs and hot glazed nuts. It’s also a piece of Los Angeles history, having stood for more than a century. Any visit to LA has to include a day out at Universal Studios, where immersive 3D rides throw you into blockbuster movies, and you can even go on a studio tour of classic film sets (including the house from Psycho). Speaking of the movies, you should also check out the Hollywood Walk of Fame – that constellation of stars engraved with A-list names that spans Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. For an escape from the bustle, head over to the green sprawl of Griffith Park, where you can see the awesome domes of Griffith Observatory. It’s a mecca for astronomical research and also features a mind-expanding planetarium. If all of this leaves you thirsty, get yourself over to the Sunset Strip, that notorious section of Sunset Boulevard bedecked with blazing billboards and heaving with some of the liveliest nightspots in the city.

Hotels in Los Angeles

As you might expect from a city synonymous with celebrity, there are hotels in Los Angeles that groan with every possible luxury. Guestrooms with marble bathrooms and four-poster beds, rooftop pools with butler service, private cabanas and full-service spas – there are facilities to suit even the most demanding visitor. That being said, there are Los Angeles hotels to suit more modest budgets as well, with big name chains and cheaper motels also available across this vast West Coast metropolis.

If you’re here on business, Downtown Los Angeles may be your best bet in terms of picking a base. This will put you within walking distance of the gleaming blocks of the financial district, not to mention numerous restaurants and cafes to network and socialise. To really soak up the glamor, there’s always Beverly Hills – technically a city in its own right, it offers A-list shopping on Rodeo Drive, where fashionistas will be in their element among countless designer outlets. If it’s a taste of Tinseltown you’re after, you can also seek out a hotel in Hollywood, where you’ll have Hollywood Boulevard, as well as landmarks like the TLC Chinese Theatre, on your doorstep.

If you’re flying into LA, you’ll very likely want to land at Los Angeles International Airport – or LAX as everyone calls it. This is a huge hub that’s an exhilarating gateway to LA, and is only 16 miles from the city center. A plethora of taxis and buses will get you to your hotel in no time.

Best Liverpool Hotels

It’s hard to pick what Liverpool’s most famous for: its rich musical heritage, its maritime history, or lavish structures like the Royal Liver Building, with its vast clock towers bearing the legendary Liver Birds. Of course, the city is known the world over for being the birthplace of the Beatles, as well as plenty of other bands that stormed the pop charts, while the docks on the glittering River Mersey are thriving tourist hotspots – striking brick and stone enclaves packed with bars, restaurants, and world-class museums.

Lovers of the beautiful game will want to pay homage at Anfield Stadium, the cherished home of Liverpool FC. It’s one of football’s most historic crucibles, dating back to 1884 – look out for the bronze statue of Liverpool’s great manager Bill Shankly. If music’s more your thing, you’ll want to make a bee-line for The Beatles Story, an immersive museum dedicated to the Fab Four which features a replica of the Cavern Club (where they first made their name), rare photo galleries, effects-filled installations and more. It’s based in Albert Dock, which is where you’ll also find Tate Liverpool, historic Grade I listed warehouses, and a tempting array of eateries with riverside views. Top pop and rock acts as well as stand-up comedy can be enjoyed at the Echo Arena, while Aintree Racecourse is famed as the home of the Grand National.

Hotels in Liverpool

As you’d expect from one of the most popular cities in Britain, there are Liverpool hotels to suit every budget. The major names are all here: think large, gleaming complexes complete with swimming pools, 24 hour gyms, and steam rooms. They’re ideal for families and business travelers alike, although if you’re looking to cut costs you’ll also find a wide variety of cheaper accommodation in the city center and beyond. Couples and those just looking for something a bit different can opt for one of the many boutique hotels in Liverpool, some of which ooze a quirky charm of their own.

For many visitors, a hotel in Liverpool city center makes the ideal base for a holiday here. Best Brighton Hotels

Some still think of it as “London-by-the-Sea”, but Brighton has a flamboyant atmosphere that’s completely its own. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the bohemian hotspot of the North Laine, full of kitsch boutiques, second-hand bookshops, artisan cake shops, and vintage markets. The long seaside with its famous pier has drawn crowds for generations, of course, and by night the bars and clubs come alive. It may have a reputation as Britain’s gay capital, but ultimately Brighton is a city made for anyone who wants to have a good time.

Any discussion of Brighton has to include that beach. Yes, it may be pebbly, but that hardly matters when you’ve got such epic views of the water. In the summer months the whole area comes alive with crowds basking in the sun: a vibrant reminder that you don’t have to go abroad for a lively seaside break. Brighton Pier is also a must-visit – sample the freshly made doughnuts and wander right to the end to have a go on the traditional funfair attractions. For more refined pleasures, Brighton Marina is worth checking out as well. It’s a chic complex of designer shops and restaurants, and you can even splash out on a yacht trip if you fancy it. In terms of iconic Brighton attractions, none comes bigger than the Royal Pavilion, that ornate Indian-style fantasy palace created for King George IV. Exhausted after a day’s sightseeing? Relax on the green fields of Preston Park.

Hotels in Brighton

This has long been one of the UK’s top tourist destinations, so as you can imagine there’s plenty of hotels in Brighton to go around. Some are very much on the grand side, with marble décor, luxury spas, and old-school bars that wouldn’t look out of place in an Agatha Christie story. More subtle are the smaller boutique Brighton hotels you’ll find in the devil-may-care Kemptown district – some of these are delightfully quirky without stinting on creature comforts like Egyptian cotton sheets. The cosy bed and breakfasts of Hove can be a great budget alternative.

If you’re staying in Brighton you really want to be in the thick of the action. The city center is marvellously compact, meaning you can be in the Royal Pavilion one minute and the North Laine the next. Then, a wander through the cosy labyrinth of the Lanes – crammed with antique shops and jewellers – will put you in the direction of the beach. The majority of hotels in Brighton can be found here as well, many with great views of the sea, so you can really make the most of your holiday.

Gatwick Airport is practically on Brighton’s doorstep. And, as one of the country’s major international gateways, it makes getting to the city a breeze, with regular train connections to Brighton Station throughout the day. Brighton’s is also conveniently close to the capital city – it’s only around an hour by train – so it’s simple to get to if you’re arriving at another airport. One of the advantages of Brighton is its size – once you’re here, you probably won’t have to bother with cabs or buses, as almost all the main sights can be seen on foot.

Brighton Travel Guides Things To Do

Brighton is as diverse and vibrant as a major world city, but as laid-back and friendly as a small s.

Take a stroll through Brighton s thriving centre, and you’ll find all the big name brands and conven.

Colourful, open-minded, eccentric and irrepressibly energetic, Brighton is the UK’s most endlessly s.

10 Questions to Ask When Hiring a Mobile App Developer

Free Webinar | August 16th

Find out how to optimize your website to give your customers experiences that will have the biggest ROI for your business. Register Now

If your company doesn t have a mobile app yet, you could be missing out on a golden opportunity to tap into new revenue streams. Smartphones and tablets are where today s consumers live. The majority of the 120 million smartphone owners in the U.S. use a shopping or retail app at least once a month, according to a recent Nielsen report. Yours could be one of them.

If you d like a mobile app that lets customers buy your products — or simply access products reviews, videos or coupons — you ll need to hire an experienced developer you trust to custom build it.

Here are 10 key questions to ask mobile app developers to help you choose the right one for the job:

1.Where can I find examples of mobile apps you ve developed?
Qualified candidates should be eager to provide you with a list of apps they are personally responsible for creating — or at least played a major role in developing — complete with links to each in Apple s iOS App Store, BlackBerry App World or Google Play, Google s Android app store.

That way you can begin to gauge whether or not they have the skills, experience and vision to produce the type of mobile app you re looking for, says Chad Mureta. CEO of App Empire, a San Francisco-based app development firm, and author of App Empire: Make Money, Have a Life, and Let Technology Work for You (Wiley, 2012).

2. May I have a list of your current and past clients?
Unlike reading movie credits, there s typically no way to tell who actually developed an app. This is why speaking directly with candidates current and former clients can be essential to verifying that the developers actually created the apps they claim to have worked on, Mureta says.

Checking references also gives you an opportunity to ask how reliable, responsive and results-oriented candidates are. For example, you might ask whether they delivered on deadline and within budget, and how well they work under pressure.

Candidates sometimes only offer references who have a favorable opinion of them, says Farhan Thawar, vice president of engineering at Xtreme Labs. an Ontario, Canada-based mobile strategy and product development firm. He suggests visiting a candidate s LinkedIn profile to see if you have any professional colleagues or former co-workers in common. If you do, contact your mutual connections and ask them about their impression of the candidate s experience, capabilities and work ethic.

3. What kind of smartphone do you use?
This question can provide insight into how passionate and knowledgeable a candidate is about specific mobile platforms, Thawar says. If you re telling me that you can build an app for an iPhone, then you should have an iPhone, you should be playing with the apps that you are building and also playing with other people s apps on a very regular basis. The same goes for Android and BlackBerry.

4. How can my app make money?
If your primary goal is to generate revenue with your app, the developer needs to know exactly how to build in features that will allow you to make money. You could opt for a pay-per-download revenue model, charging, say, between 99 cents and $4.99, depending on how many features your app offers.

If you opt for a free app, be sure the candidate is well versed in how to integrate mobile display ads, in-app purchases or paid subscription services.

5. How will we communicate during the development process?
The quality of your app often depends on how clearly and often you communicate your app design and functionality requirements throughout the development process.

Does your app developer prefer to chat in person or via phone, Skype, instant message or email — and how often? Or does he or she prefer to interact with you using a popular project and task management system like 37signals Basecamp. How often will he or she provide you with status updates?

6. What kind of special features can you create?
Apps rarely grab consumers attention without truly innovative and useful features. Figure out the bells and whistles you d like and then assess your developer s capabilities. For example, can your candidate add 3-D gaming, social media sharing, GPS check-ins or product coupon elements to your app?

7. Who will own the mobile app?
Typically the individual or company paying for a mobile app will own the finished product, Mureta says. To be sure you own all the rights to the app you commissioned, you and the app developer should sign a written copyright assignment or work made for hire contract. The document should establish confidentiality and state that you own the app s design, source code and all of its content.

8. How will you test my app?
Generally, the best way to test an app is simply to run it on the smartphone it will be used on. The candidate should provide a thorough explanation of how he or she conducts an extensive beta test to weed out any glitches. If bugs are found, how will the candidate fix them — and how quickly?

9. Will you submit my mobile app to app stores?
After you ve approved the beta-tested version of your app, the last step is for the developer to submit it to an app store for approval to be sold there. App submission is often a long, multi-step process that your developer should already know how to successfully navigate.

10. What are your fees and payment terms?
Draft a written agreement specifying that you will pay the developer by the hour or with a flat fee. Most developers, like Mureta, ask for a one-time fee upfront. Others require a deposit at the beginning of a project, often for up to half of the estimated total cost, with the balance due when the app is completed.

The most basic mobile apps can start between $1,000 and $5,000, but you could end up spending many times more if you pay a developer by the hour. More complicated mobile apps, including ones that are database driven or involve 3-D gaming, can cost thousands more.

FBS: FOOTBALL BOWL SUBDIVISION
(BCS & Other Division I Football Index Page)

Get the Best Fight Songs (HQ Stereo) on 20 Different Music CD’s. Please Help Support This Site.

Welcome to the “LARGEST” College Football Fight Song web site in the universe, where all the songs are now in MP3 format. I have always been a fan of college football and especially the Nittany Lions of Penn State. All the MP3’s on this site have been compressed 11 to 1 in size and reformatted in mono, all to help save webspace. It has been a rough ride these past 2-3 years as interest seems to hae waned a bit and it is more costly to keep the site up for FREE! And now certain schools like Miami (FL), Washington and Utah forced me to remove the school’s songs from the website, even though they are free to download and isn’t this kind of like FREE advertisement for those schools? And all those millions of dollars the football programs bring and to top that with the price of tuition, you would think they would want to share the songs with their alumni, current students and fans of those schools. If anyone can help, please do to get those songs back up and available on this site. I am also in the process of adding as many or all of the football schools from the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision). After completion, there will be well over 1,000 total songs for you FREE to download. I will also be reformatting all the music CD’s, moving teams to the correct conference CD and adding all the new schools, even the FCS schools.

Also, you will still be able to purchase your favorite school songs via email for $5 or less per school or per conference. Especially the FCS conferences, where 1-2 schools songs will be prevailant throughout. You will want the higher quality songs for your ringtone(s) on your cellphone and iPhones. But please don’t forget about the CD’s, they also help in the funding for this site or shopping at one of the sponsors on this site. And if you are not considering a purchase at this time, please consider a friendly donation of $10 or $20 or any value at that to make sure this website stays up and running for many years to come and into the future. Thank you very much for your continued support.

These same conferences are also focused on: Volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 19, 20 and 14 (alma maters). The mid-major conferences, which now include the AAC, CONF-USA, MAC, MWC an the SUNBELT are representive on Volumes 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15 (alma maters). I also now have different fight music CD’s (Volumes 16, 17 and 18 (alma maters) focusing on the schools from the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision). Of course it is impossible to include all the songs on the CD’s, thats for both the FCS and FBS CD’s, so you can also purchase the individual songs from each college for only $1-$5 each depending on the number of songs I have available. Hotels in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

    Best hotels in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale Hotels Colloquially known as ‘The Venice of America’ due to its expansive canal system and waterways, Fort Lauderdale is the archetypal American party town with a thriving, glamorous energy and miles of picture perfect beaches. From jazzy nightclubs filled with hedonistic spring-breakers, to top-notch restaurants and cocktails bars, and a shopping and arts scene overflowing with character and life, this sprightly city has something for every tourist. The city’s main port, Everglades, had daily cruise arrivals from Mexico, the Caribbean and beyond, so if you have the opportunity, step ashore and join in the fun. Things to see With the incredible blend of glitzy yachts, bohemian beach buffs, and year-round sunshine, a spot on one of Fort Lauderdale’s 23 miles of tumbling golden beaches is a perfect way to start a vacation. Head to Fort Lauderdale Beach, in the central part of the coast, for pristine white sands, and activities for all ages, here you’ll find on-beach bars and waitress service sun loungers. With the cityscape behind you and seascape of the Atlantic in front there really is the no better place to relax. Another immaculate stretch of white sands is Hollywood Beach, with its family-friendly attractions such as paddle-pools and climbing walls, and regularly policed sands you can thoroughly relax and unwind. Night owls are drawn to the twinkling lights of Las Olas Boulevard; with over 30 al-fresco restaurants, multiple late-night shops, 2 world class museums, and over 10 international art galleries, it is a mecca for tourists looking for something eclectic and unique amidst the commercial district. If you want to escape the neon bulbs and jell-o shots that make up many an evening in South Florida, head down to Deerfield Beach Pier; offering a stretch of paradise the pier allows for breathtaking views over the local ports and marinas. Hotels in Fort Lauderdale As is to be expected from a town synonymous with hedonistic indulgence, hotels in Fort Lauderdale are brimming with luxury and amenities, think marble bathrooms and private balconies as standard and 4-posted beds and butler service in the high-end options. Compared with the rest of Florida, Fort Lauderdale is relatively inexpensive, so hotels and guest houses will be of an excellent standard, whatever your budget. The majority of beach front hotels have full-service spas, fitness facilities, and outdoor pools as well as organized trips for families. Where to stay Just around the corner from the Riverwalk are many of downtown Fort Lauderdale’s best nighttime attractions, including the Las Olas Boulevard, The Museum of Art, and the Sawgrass Mills Mall. If you chose to stay this side of town you will also be within walking distance of the famous waterways and the bars and restaurants alongside them. If a simple beach holiday is what you’re after then you can’t go wrong with a stay right on the beach, although most hotels are large and high-rise, they still offer excellent service and spacious rooms with great views. The beach area is great for socializing at sundown, and you’ll be close to local amenities and kids entertainment spots. How to get to Fort Lauderdale For international visitors, Holly’s Wood International Airport is located just 2 miles from the city center and transportation is easily arranged. For those traveling around Florida and the West Coast, the Interstate 95 is a direct route to Palm Beach, Miami, and Jacksonville. Alternatively if you’re visiting on a cruise, Port Everglades is the city’s largest port and can support around 10,000 people arriving and departing each week.

    Hotels in Las Vegas

    Best Las Vegas Hotels

    Las Vegas hotels are rated

3.6 out of 5 based on 274822 genuine guest reviews.

They say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but chances are you’ll want to tell every single person you know about your time in Sin City. After all, it’s a place devoted to pleasure and excess in all its forms. Dazzling lights turn the Strip and Downtown Vegas into wonderlands of color, majestic casino-hotels throng with daredevil gamblers chancing it on roulette and blackjack, and some of the most famous singers, comedians, and magicians on Earth put on spectacular shows all year round. Anyone will feel like a member of the Rat Pack walking these legendary streets.

Things to see in Las Vegas

In the popular imagination, the Strip IS Las Vegas. Stretching over 4 miles and blazing with casino hotel signs and giant gaudy reproductions of world landmarks, it’s the thoroughfare that always features in films and TV shows about Sin City. Just walking down the Strip will leave you giddy, and even amid this much sensory stimulation you’ll still notice the iconic dancing fountains of the Bellagio, a particularly opulent casino hotel even by the Strip’s standards (wait till you see the Mediterranean-style pool area, and the fine dining restaurants within). More razzle-dazzle can be found at the Fremont Street Experience – a pedestrianized area of shops, restaurants, and casinos covered with a jaw-dropping canopy of over 12 million lights. If you’ve got time to squeeze in some shopping, head over to the Fashion Show Mall. As well as housing countless department stores and designer boutiques, it has its very own runway where models strut their stuff. Fancy a break from the urban excess? Have a great escape to Red Rock Canyon, a rugged and craggy landscape like something from an old Western film – it’s hiking like you’ve never experienced it before.

    Accommodation in Las Vegas

It almost goes without saying that Las Vegas hotels are among the most lavish and breathtaking in the world. The big names on the Strip and in Downtown feature numerous restaurants (many high-end and run by celebrity chefs), spas that will make every guest feel like a film star, epic pools, and of course the sprawling casino areas. Your typical big Las Vegas hotel will cater for your every conceivable whim, and there’s a price tag that comes with that, but it’s worth remembering the city has plenty of cheaper hotels and motels to choose from as well.

Where to stay in Las Vegas

If you want to immerse yourself in the Vegas you see on TV, the Strip is where you want to stay. That said, if you fancy a taste of “old Vegas” then you may prefer to book a hotel in the Downtown area, where the original hotels and casinos took root, and where the Rat Pack were the resident hellraisers. You can also choose to set your base a little way from the hustle and bustle by looking for a hotel south of the Strip – look out for Town Square, a mall complex crammed with well known stores as well as a cinema and a park.

How to get to Las Vegas

If you’re flying into Vegas, you’ll most likely be landing at McCarran International Airport. This is the major gateway to the area, with flights coming in from cities such as London, Paris, Mexico City, Frankfurt, as well as many other US cities. It’s only minutes away from the city, making it easy to get from Arrivals to the comfort of your hotel. Meanwhile, North Las Vegas Airport and Henderson Executive Airport cater to private planes and general aviation.

Hotels in Calgary near Calgary International Airport (YYC)

Calgary International Airport (YYC) hotels – Calgary

Calgary International Airport (YYC) Hotels Calgary International Airport (YYC) boasts both the country’s tallest control tower and its longest runway. Despite its size and scale, it also prides itself as one of world’s friendliest and most welcoming airports. This is largely down to the work of its famous White Hat Volunteers, a veritable army of cheerful locals, kitted out in distinctive white cowboy hats and red vests, who can be found throughout the airport to assist with any queries you may have. Hotels in Calgary International Airport (YYC) There’s an appealing selection of hotels near Calgary International Airport, including several within the airport complex itself. Take your pick from a choice of smart, modern, mid-range hotels, generously equipped with state-of-the-art facilities like indoor heated pools, bubbling hot tubs, and gleaming fitness centers. Your room rate is likely to include lovely extras such as free WiFi and buffet breakfasts. Where to stay Located just 18 kilometers from the airport, Calgary is a bustling city comprised of intriguingly diverse neighborhoods. 17th Avenue SW is arguably the swankiest address, packed with quirky boutiques, eclectic restaurants, and raucous bars. Kensington has a more bohemian vibe, with a laid-back café culture, and effortlessly cool vintage shops. Inglewood is the city’s oldest district, and today boasts a thriving arts scene and a vibrant summer night market. How to get to Calgary International Airport (YYC) The airport is served by flights from many major North American cities, including Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. You can also fly direct from major European transport hubs like London, Paris and Amsterdam. Calgary city center is roughly a 15 minute drive away. There’s a wealth of transport options available at the airport, including metered taxis as well as public and private shuttle buses. Best Perth Hotels

Exploring Perth From the meandering banks of the Swan River to the golden sands of Scarborough Beach, Perth is one of the most extravagant tourist destinations in Australia. Even though this large metropolis is the world’s most isolated capital, Perth still welcomes many millions of visitors annually. It’s a safe and laid-back city, so tourists will have no trouble exploring the many landmarks on offer here. However, for visitor’s convenience, it is advised that the city centre, which is swimming with major attractions, be explored first. From here, the outer reaches of Perth are easy to get to.

Tourists have a massive choice of accommodation in the Western Australian capital. Most of the large, more expensive hotels are situated within or fringing the city centre. However, there are also several high-end hotels in the outer areas, too, especially in places like Fremantle, Scarborough Beach, and near the airport. Perth’s public transportation network, known as Transperth, provides buses, trains, and ferry services which make getting around both inexpensive and convenient for newcomers. Sights nearby Perth is one of Australia’s most loved tourist destinations. Here, tourists will be able to find a long line of attractions within minutes of spectacular accommodation.

    City Centre
Perth’s City Centre is arguably the most spectacular part of the capital. In addition to housing most of Perth’s upmarket accommodation, the inner-city district is the best place for sightseeing, dining, and shopping. From the stunning artwork that lies within the Art Gallery of Western Australia to the luscious grounds of Kings Park, Perth’s downtown area is a tourist magnet. Sites like Murray Street and Hay Street Malls make for excellent shopping, dining, and after-hours entertainment. Perth central train and bus stations are also found within its dynamic heart.

    Cottesloe Beach
Found in the region known as The Coast, Cottesloe Beach is among Perth’s most visited tourist attractions. During the spring and summer months, this spectacular beach is a popular weekend haunt for both locals and tourists. Its soft, golden sand and relatively calm waters make it a great place for a family day out. It’s not unusual to see a large game of beach cricket being played on the beach here or hundreds of sun bakers and swimmers making the most of the powdery sand and impressive breakers. Fremantle hotels, such as Pier 21 Apartments Hotel, are just minutes to the south of this beach.

    Perth Zoo
Catering for more than half a million visitors annually, Perth Zoo is among Western Australia’s most alluring landmarks. Three main zones operate within this historic zoo, which includes the Australian Walkabout, the African Savannah, and the Asian Rainforest regions. In addition to these main exhibits, several smaller displays are offered, including the Galapagos turtles’ tank and the lesser primates zone. The zoo rests upon the southern banks of the Swan River, just across from downtown Perth. Eating and drinking and shopping nearby Pubs and clubs are located throughout Perth, although tourists will find the most thrilling night spots in the city centre and Northbridge. However, Fremantle and Subiaco, in West Perth, host exciting night-time establishments, too. Shopping is centred on the CBD’s famous Hay Street, Murray Street, and King Street. Other boutique and trendy spots to shop at include Mount Lawley, Northbridge, and Subiaco. Visiting the Fremantle Markets is also recommended. Hotels like the Four Points by Sheraton and the Duxton Hotel boast the most romantic, yet expensive, restaurants in the city. Public transport Buses, trains, and ferries are operated by Transperth, the capital city’s public transportation authority. The downtown area is a free transit zone, meaning locals and tourists alike can catch Central Area Transit (CAT) buses without charge. However, prices for bus tickets to other areas, like Fremantle, South Perth, and West Perth, are reasonable. The train is another great way to explore Perth’s metropolitan area. New northern and southern rail routes now make it easier than ever before to travel to all corners of the city.
