Great location – Great Service

My wife and I stayed 5 nights on a holiday in Sydney. The check in staff and concierge were very helpful and went out of their way in helping us choose destinations daily and arranging tours. The room was very clean and maintained well throughout our stay. We were overcharged once for room service but it was quickly resolved when we questioned the charge. Best of all, the location was superb; a short walk to Darling Harbor, about 15 min to the Quay, Harbor Bridge and the Opera House. Town Hall station was a quick walk. It is an expensive hotel but you get a good room, great location and service.

Overall staying here was nice. It was quite expensive at $192 AUD for one night that was on sale. but I guess everything in Sydney is expensive. The room was very small and tight, and having two huge luggages made it a pain to maneuver around the room (I’d just moved out of my apartment). If you’re on a business trip with one small luggage, then it should be just fine. The room came with free wi-fi, tv, and movies! The movies were up to date and not some random old movies you’ve never heard about, so that was nice. I had trouble connecting to wifi because the hotspot wouldn’t pop up to let me log in, but I eventually was able to get in after a couple of frustrating hours. The bathroom was nice and the little travel sized shampoo/conditioners/soaps smelled like lemongrass and happiness 🙂 Staff was nice but I thought they could’ve been better. My room was not ready so they told me to come back. I asked if they could call me when my room was ready but they never called me. Also it’d be nice if they had someone help with bags? because I really struggled with my two gigantic luggages. The hotel is literally one street away from Wynyard station which made traveling easy! Overall nice hotel!

Great location, and friendly staff.

We booked online and this was our first trip to Sydney, so we didn’t know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a great location with an easy walk to Darling Harbour, and also the Town Hall train station. The staff was friendly, and helped us get checked in early (our flight arrived at 7:00 am). Overall it was a great experience. The breakfast food was a little different than what we are used to in the States, but overall it was good and they had the option to have items cooked to order in the restaurant. We would recommend the Parkroyal.
