West Edmonton Mall Inn (Alberta) – 2016 Hotel Reviews #hospice #by #the

#west edmonton mall hotel

#

We had booked this hotel to stay in the same hotel as our children/grandchildren. But our children had booked and put there credit card to hold the room and told the hotel they where coming in very very late. When they got there the hotel had given there room away. Just what you want at 4:00am. They did upgrade them to there sister hotel the Fantasyland. But not before sending them to check into a room in the West Edmonton Mall Inn that was occupied by another guest. Just what you want the front desk to do but to give a key out to an occupied room in the middle of the night.
We had wanted to stay near the grandchildren. But was not to be because they best they could do for us was offer us a $250 a night room at the Fantasyland but to also tell us you needed 24 hrs to cancel our room at the West Edmonton Mall Inn. We were stuck then with the West Edmonton Mall Inn.
This hotel had dirty common areas and elevators. The check in time is 4:00 PM. and they were not happy to check us in at 3:30PM. Breakfast is very basic. The only thing going for this hotel is that it is right across from the mall. I would recommend people stay elsewhere.

Fantasyland H, General Manager at West Edmonton Mall Inn, responded to this review

Totally unwelcomed

At Alberta Back and Neck Rehab & Sports Injuries Clinic, we understand the hesitance many of our patients feel before they see us for the first time. We also hear our patients tell us they wish they had come to our pain clinic sooner about their chronic pain, because they finally got the relief they were looking for.

Tips For Staying In Edmonton

Choosing A Hotel in Edmonton

Quick Summary of Most Popular Areas
Downtown Edmonton. really and truly the area you want to be when visiting Edmonton
Edmonton Airport. Under 5km from the downtown core, the airport is very easy to get to from the city

What Edmonton is all about
Edmonton is perhaps most famously known for West Edmonton Mall. which is said to be the largest mall in North America. So, if you are one to avoid large crowds and commercialization on a grand scale then you’ll hate it there. However, it is a spectacle that really should be seen for first-time visitors. Finding a hotel in downtown Edmonton is a wise choice as it is the hub of activity for many world-class festivals. In fact, Edmonton has been given the nickname of ‘Festival City’ due to all of the activity.

Geography of Edmonton
Edmonton is located right in the centre of the province of Alberta. Many different districts make up the city, however the most popular area to be and stay is definitely downtown. Interestingly enough, even though Edmonton is only 300km away from the Canadian Rockies, you cannot see any of the mountains in the skyline when looking west (even from the top of the tallest building).

Surrounding Area
In terms of the surrounding area, Edmonton is not overly close to many other big cities or tourist hot spots. To give you an idea Red Deer is roughly 150km south, Calgary nearly 300km south and beautiful Banff is over 400km southwest of Edmonton.

News and Information

CTVNews.ca Staff – July 2, 2015

Health Canada has updated the online information it provides to Canadians about the risks of asbestos, conceding that exposure to the substance in any form is dangerous. The HealthyCanadians.gc.ca website now says that any amount of asbestos inhalation can lead to “cancer and other diseases.”

By Steve Maxwell, Special to National Post – February 13, 2014

It’s hard to talk about indoor air quality without scaring people, but I’m going to try anyway. This is especially important for Canadians at this time of year. For 40 years, we’ve been making our houses more weather-tight and energy efficient, and that’s a good thing. Nobody likes to spend more money than necessary to keep warm in winter. Trouble is, that’s only part of the equation. We also need to figure out how to keep indoor air fresh enough to be healthy. I was reminded of all this before Christmas, when I visited a friend and just happened to notice mould stains on the attic access hatch in her entrance hallway.
