Bethany Arms Motel and Apartments

30-40 mile an hour winds.

We stopped for a picnic lunch in Cape Charles, hoping to catch a glimpse of the lighthouse which bears its’ name. We did not find it – instead seeing a town water tank painted to resemble an iron lighthouse. Someone here has quite a sense of humour.

We have ended the day in Fruitland – a place where most people, like us, are “just passing through”.

This morning, woke up at 7:00am and Legend was ready to go outside. Beautiful brisk morning. I have on pants and jacket. The sun feels good! Legend is getting used to going to the bathroom with cars buzzing by on the highway. Jess and I spent some time today at the outlet mall next to the hotel browsing. We tried a very popular seafood restaurant this evening too. It was crowded at 5:30 with a 20 minute wait. when we left, the wait was over an hour. It’s.

Ryan and I awoke early and headed outside with Legend. The air is brisk. I had my jacket on and Ryan wished he wore his. Invigorating and awesome. We had breakfast and coffee and are preparing for the day. I will work from the lobby for a few hours and Ryan may have to go to his testing for work soon. Matt and Jess are still.

what we’re going to be looking for on our future beachcoming!

Next stop was “linner” as Barb calls it, at her favorite crabcake restaurant, Captain’s Galley II, on the waterfront in the Ocean City harbor. We three enjoyed the crab filled cakes and adult Orange Crush drinks.

Thanks Barb for a wonderful visit! Time to move up the road Annapolis, MD is our next stop and a hopeful boating.

State Park
without hookups ($38) is unreal especially for an out of state camper. Considering that the parking RV sites are all
on the loop roads with one s picnic table, fire pit and tenting sites.

Excellant work and very courteous. Thank you!

The team was very efficient and did a clean, professional job of installing our two ceiling fans. The did a great job of explaining the controls after installation. Great job!

Outstanding and professional service. will always recommend Armes Electric for any electrical work.

Jason and Juan did an absolutely flawless job installing can lights. They left no holes in the walls or marks on the ceiling – just two lights exactly where we asked that they be installed. Your workers always do an outstanding job.

Bethany Arms Motel Apartments

The biggest draw back was the not so private balcony. The night auditor told me it was private. You step out the door and you can pretty much see the people on the adjacent balcony. If a family rented a floor, fine. But I really wanted to leave the door and sleep with the sound of the ocean. Can t do that because over this railing between balconies, someone could get in my room. The couch by the door folds into a bed. I pulled it out and found some strange debris. I could just leave the door open and hope no one is tempted to come in. Smh.

It s late. Spontaneous drive through Delaware has shown me, I m afraid, what there is to see here. Rehoboth was a mad house. Traffic was horrendous. Reminder: it s after Labor Day. Dewey Beach was packed. Kept on driving and found this place. While I may have found a cot on the boardwalk in Rehoboth for 3 or 400 hundred dollars, I like a quieter place.

Found it here. Hotel offers a lot. The room is big. Has a full size fridge and stove, but I can t forget that clear unlabeled bottle of blue goo by the sink. Common sense tells me it s dish detergent. If there isn t soap in the bathroom, why is there soap by the kitchen sink?

I m really not a nit picker. I ve stayed all over the east coast in everything from large upscale chains to small family owned hotels, even old ones like this.

Not impressed for $230 a night.

Could climb right over and be in their private balcony too

Stop following Kial S.

Bethany Arms is a quaint, very old, motel. It doesn t have a bunch of special amenities or anything but it serves its purpose just fine.

It s got a great view of the beach if you re on the second floor of building D and it s right next to the boardwalk so you can walk right across to the beach.

They get three stars because it meets expectations and the people were very nice.

This is an old motel that looks straight from the 70 s, but it is clean and is in a great location. You re right on beach and only half a block (like a 10 second walk) to all the restaurants and shops in Bethany beach. Since it s an old motel, their pricing is lower than anywhere around. I stayed there May 31-June 2 and the place was maybe 20% full, yet every day there was a whole crew of about a dozen people going through every room to clean. If you want the ritz, this isn t it. But if you want a room in a great location with the basic amenities (mini fridge, parking, AC, clean bathroom and beds) then this is your place.

If you want to stay in Bethany Beach, then the location is 4 or 5 stars.

There are 5 separate buildings in the complex. This is the first time we ve stayed here, so we ve only experienced one room in one building. Our premium suite was very dated and a bit decrepit. Like it might have been all that 50 years ago, but now the fixtures are rusted, tile and paint faded, furniture sagging. and it smelled like 50 years worth of accumulated must when we walked in. We did have a kitchenette, but it was sparse (fine for storing beer and sandwich fixings – but no microwave for your oatmeal, and you wouldn t want to cook an actual meal in it). We weren t expecting much. and it just about met our expectations.

On the plus side, the staff was helpful, and extended our checkout time with no issue (since the room was not booked until a day later). Also, the other buildings may be nicer or more current, I just don t know. At the end of the day, we enjoyed ourselves, and the place wasn t awful – just on the low side of average. We might stay again sometime.

This place is stuck in the 1970 s yet the prices are 2011. It seemed clean and all but it had an old, moldy smell in rooms. With the prices that this place is charging I would expect them to update their rooms. Staff is extremely careless over the phone and in person. Only when I was checking out a nice lady said thank you, other guy was mentally in some other place. Maybe because there are no other competition around the area this place thinks they can get away. Well Hilton might be just around the corner building a small hotel with better prices, I would start worrying.

As I was searching for a hotel for my two night stay in Bethany, the Bethany Arms Motel was one of the lower priced options. It s a great location, right on the boardwalk. There are several different buildings which are each a different price depending on the view, the size, and if they offer a kitchenette. I went for the cheapest option and the room was simple but had everything we needed (fridge, microwave, etc). They also had an outdoor shower so you didn t have to fight the crowds for the ones on the boardwalk. The front desk was friendly and helpful.
