    Welcome to the “LARGEST” College Football Fight Song web site in the universe, where all the songs are now in MP3 format. I have always been a fan of college football and especially the Nittany Lions of Penn State. All the MP3’s on this site have been compressed 11 to 1 in size and reformatted in mono, all to help save webspace. It has been a rough ride these past 2-3 years as interest seems to hae waned a bit and it is more costly to keep the site up for FREE! And now certain schools like Miami (FL), Washington and Utah forced me to remove the school’s songs from the website, even though they are free to download and isn’t this kind of like FREE advertisement for those schools? And all those millions of dollars the football programs bring and to top that with the price of tuition, you would think they would want to share the songs with their alumni, current students and fans of those schools. If anyone can help, please do to get those songs back up and available on this site. I am also in the process of adding as many or all of the football schools from the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision). After completion, there will be well over 1,000 total songs for you FREE to download. I will also be reformatting all the music CD’s, moving teams to the correct conference CD and adding all the new schools, even the FCS schools.

    Also, you will still be able to purchase your favorite school songs via email for $5 or less per school or per conference. Especially the FCS conferences, where 1-2 schools songs will be prevailant throughout. You will want the higher quality songs for your ringtone(s) on your cellphone and iPhones.     My College Football Fight Music CD/MP3 Store has changed many times over the years as the NCAA Football Conference realignment is a never ending process as money dictates which schools play in the
    (5) major BCS conferences and who play in the other FBS mid-major football conferences. My collection now contains 21 different CD’s, with Volumes 1 & 13 focus on all five of the power five conferences (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, PAC-12, SEC and Notre Dame). These same conferences are also focused on: Volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 19, 20 and 14 (alma maters). The mid-major conferences, which now include the AAC, CONF-USA, MAC, MWC an the SUNBELT are representive on Volumes 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15 (alma maters). I also now have different fight music CD’s (Volumes 16, 17 and 18 (alma maters) focusing on the schools from the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision). Of course it is impossible to include all the songs on the CD’s, thats for both the FCS and FBS CD’s, so you can also purchase the individual songs from each college for only $1-$5 each depending on the number of songs I have available.     PORTLAND: Boost for Weldmar Hospice as second shop opens on Portland

    WELDMAR Hospicecare Trust hit the silver mark when another of its charity shops was opened on Portland.

    The site at Easton Street off Easton Square brought the number of Weldmar shops and outlets across north, south and west Dorset to a grand total of 21.

    The opening ceremony was performed by Joseph Weld Hospice inpatient unit senior sister Sally Baverstock who said: I have lived on the island for 23 years, so I am really thrilled to open this new Weldmar shop. The money it raises will enable us to continue to provide our much-needed services free of charge.

    Among those attending was Weymouth and Portland Deputy Mayor Councillor Kate Wheller who said: This is fantastic. I don t think there is anyone in the whole of Dorset who has not heard of the hospice or had experience of it in one way or another. It deserves all the support I am sure it will get.

    Weldmar trustees board representative Lt Col Nat parmley said: With the opening of this shop we now have 18 shops and three outlets which is wonderful.

    Manager of the Portland shop, Sharon Thorne, said: Our opening was a very exciting day. What we need now are donations from residents which would be greatly welcome and which will assist us in helping Weldmar.

    She added that staff would also welcome donations of textiles that might be unsuitable for selling in the shops but which could be used for recycling, a valuable source of income for Weldmar.

    Weldmar area manager Sue Parry said the shop offered quality clothes, accessories, shoes, bric-a-brac, books, CDs, DVDs and household goods.

    She added: We had a wonderful opening and we look forward to meeting the local community at our new shop.

    Since 1996 Trimar Hospice has provided day services in Weymouth attended by patients from Portland. A team of Weldmar Community Nurses based in Trimar cover the Portland and Weymouth area providing palliative care expertise to patients in their homes, community hospitals and nursing homes.

    Since its opening in 1994, Joseph Weld Hospice has looked after many patients from Portland providing its special care to patients and their families.

    Anyone interested in helping in the Portland shop or other shops within the trust is invited to call Linda Thompson on 01305 756938 or drop in to their local Weldmar shop.

    WHT is a local charity providing palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses who live in North, South and West Dorset.

    Palliative care is care given to help people live as good a life as possible when, unfortunately, their illness cannot be cured. It supports more than 1,000 patients and their families each year.

    The charity needs to raise 10,000 every single day of the year to provide its special care for patients and their families.

    PORTLAND: Boost for Weldmar Hospice as second shop opens on Portland

    WELDMAR Hospicecare Trust hit the silver mark when another of its charity shops was opened on Portland.

    The site at Easton Street off Easton Square brought the number of Weldmar shops and outlets across north, south and west Dorset to a grand total of 21.

    The opening ceremony was performed by Joseph Weld Hospice inpatient unit senior sister Sally Baverstock who said: I have lived on the island for 23 years, so I am really thrilled to open this new Weldmar shop. The money it raises will enable us to continue to provide our much-needed services free of charge.

    Among those attending was Weymouth and Portland Deputy Mayor Councillor Kate Wheller who said: This is fantastic. I don t think there is anyone in the whole of Dorset who has not heard of the hospice or had experience of it in one way or another. It deserves all the support I am sure it will get.

    Weldmar trustees board representative Lt Col Nat parmley said: With the opening of this shop we now have 18 shops and three outlets which is wonderful.

    Manager of the Portland shop, Sharon Thorne, said: Our opening was a very exciting day. What we need now are donations from residents which would be greatly welcome and which will assist us in helping Weldmar.

    She added that staff would also welcome donations of textiles that might be unsuitable for selling in the shops but which could be used for recycling, a valuable source of income for Weldmar.

    Weldmar area manager Sue Parry said the shop offered quality clothes, accessories, shoes, bric-a-brac, books, CDs, DVDs and household goods.

    She added: We had a wonderful opening and we look forward to meeting the local community at our new shop.

    Since 1996 Trimar Hospice has provided day services in Weymouth attended by patients from Portland. A team of Weldmar Community Nurses based in Trimar cover the Portland and Weymouth area providing palliative care expertise to patients in their homes, community hospitals and nursing homes.

    Since its opening in 1994, Joseph Weld Hospice has looked after many patients from Portland providing its special care to patients and their families.

    Anyone interested in helping in the Portland shop or other shops within the trust is invited to call Linda Thompson on 01305 756938 or drop in to their local Weldmar shop.

    WHT is a local charity providing palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses who live in North, South and West Dorset.

    Palliative care is care given to help people live as good a life as possible when, unfortunately, their illness cannot be cured. It supports more than 1,000 patients and their families each year.

    The charity needs to raise 10,000 every single day of the year to provide its special care for patients and their families.

    Growing agency, great patient care and co workers – HEB invests in their employees and continue to find ways, even amidst the economic and regulatory garbage of the times..to do this. The management actively is working with a contracted company to strengthen communication/management issues and this is worth its weight in Gold. Most companies which struggle with these issues (and I speak only of ones I have worked with) use the excuse of not being able to afford it. My thought is How can they afford NOT to do this? YAY to these guys for investing in this.

    Lots of change and turnover, benefits are not as nice as they used to be. drat. as it is everywhere these days in healthcare it seems. THe office sits right off the freeway so if you work there. ya get to suck freeway fumes.

    Advice to Management

    Continue on with the willingness to grow and improve on all levels – be open to exploring unusual scheduling formats for aging clinicians which encourage varied hours, days, job sharing, etc. Many hospice nurses are middle aged and have worked for 30-40 years and while we bring an expertise and solidity in challenging situations (which is needed in Hospice care) .we are also ready to slow down. At the same time, the work environment – owing to economic and regulatory insanity and attempting to meet the needs of a growing demand for hospice services with our aging population –is attempting to speed up at every level. How to balance this continues to demand creating outside the box and to have management which is willing to step away from what is familiar and venture into uncharted territory. Keep creating outside the box – and keep your employees in the communication loop.

    Hospice of East Texas seeks to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families dealing with life-limiting illness and to assist bereaved family members by providing comprehensive, coordinated care and support.

    Whether provided in the home, hospital, long-term care facility or anywhere else, hospice is a compassionate way of caring for those with a life-limiting illness. The Hospice of East Texas has been providing this loving care to patients and their families throughout the communities of East Texas since 1982.

    Coping with terminal illness presents many challenges – physical, emotional, social and spiritual. The caring, experienced team of professionals at The Hospice of East Texas is prepared to meet those challenges, and believes that no one, regardless of age, illness or financial circumstances, should have to face death alone or in pain.

    Who Is Eligible?
    Any patient with a terminal illness resulting in a life expectancy of six months or less, as determined by the patient’s physician, is eligible for hospice care. The patient, in partnership with his or her family, the referring physician and the hospice team, makes the decision for hospice care, after a thorough review of all the options for care. Care is provided regardless of the patient’s age, diagnosis, or ability to pay.

    When is it time?
    The sooner hospice care begins, the sooner the patient and family are able to benefit from the full range of programs and services offered by the Hospice of East Texas. The time to choose hospice care is when the goal of treatment begins to shift from curing the illness to providing comfort. By contacting Hospice of East Texas early in the diagnosis, the patient and family reserve time to understand their options and choose the path that is best for them. The best time to learn about hospice care is before you or someone you love needs it.

    What does care include?
    The Hospice of East Texas provides care that focuses on the relief of suffering in all its forms: physical, emotional, spiritual, and social. Our team of professionals works with the patient and family to create a plan of care unique to their situation. That plan might include:

    • Home visits by nurses, physicians, home health aides, chaplains, social workers and trained volunteers
    • Medications, supplies and durable medical equipment related to the terminal illness
    • Caregiver support and education, and assistance with advance care plans
    • Counseling and emotional and spiritual support
    • Bereavement care and family support both prior to and after the patient’s death

    Hospice care is truly centered around the patient and family. The goal of the hospice team is to empower you to make your own choices, give you access to information and resources you need during this very challenging time, and provide support to everyone involved.

    Where is hospice care provided?
    Most hospice care takes place where the patient lives and where the patient is most comfortable. That might be their own home, a family member’s home, an assisted living or nursing facility throughout our 23 county service region.     Help us ‘Raise the Roof’ of Margaret Chadd House

    Margaret Chadd House is the most important medical establishment to be built in the East Norfolk/East Suffolk area for many years. With such high cancer death and deprivation statistics in this area, there is most certainly a need for it. We are the only area left in the country without a hospice – why is the Great Yarmouth Waveney area deprived of a hospice when other areas have one? Well, not for much longer! The vast majority (nearly 80%) of people say they would like to be cared for at home or in a hospice; however in this area patients do not have this choice. Their choice is only home or on an acute hospital ward; in the 21st Century this is not acceptable.East Coast Hospice was born out of the need to change the palliative care available for the people of Great Yarmouth Waveney.

    Once built, our facilities will include

    In-Patient Care

    The in-patient unit will have ten comfortable, spacious and modern individual rooms. Each room will have their own en-suite bathroom and garden, which will hopefully bring peace and dignity to our inpatients and their visitors.

    Day Care Services

    The day care unit will be able to accommodate 10-15 patients during the day with facilities for hairdressing, physiotherapy, occupational and complementary therapies, in a bright, comfortable and welcoming environment.

    Complementary Therapies

    Complementary therapies can be provided to inpatients in their own rooms or in our hydrotherapy bathroom and other treatment rooms within the day care unit. Bereavement care will also be available to loved ones.
