Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility

Amara Hospice’s 18 Suite Inpatient Facility is the Rio Grande Valley’s first-ever inpatient facility dedicated to hospice care. Amara Hospice also offers the option of outpatient hospice care. At Amara’s Inpatient Hospice Facility, every day is a special day for our patients and their families. As one of the most advanced facilities in South Texas, our patients and their families will find a peaceful environment where our Amara team of specially-trained healthcare providers can provide the palliative care, nourishment and love that our hospice patients deserve in a peaceful, comforting setting created for hospice care.

Fully Equipped Family Kitchen

Amara Inpatient Hospice includes a fully equipped family kitchen, group dining room, family room, a meditation room, children’s play area, laundry facilities, shower facilities for families, a conference room, and a relaxing sunroom. Our facility is open to families 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.

Amara Hospice goes beyond taking care of the patient, because our caregivers understand the emotional turmoil and daily challenges confronting the family. Amara recognizes the energy required for family members to stay strong when their loved one has a life-limiting condition. We believe that providing the best level of care for the patient includes caring for the family as well.

Private Suites

Each suite in the Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility is designed for privacy, comfort and care. Each contains a private bathroom. Family and close friends are welcome to spend the night with the patient.

Amara Hospice encourages the family to take part in the patient’s inpatient care. Amara Inpatient Hospice offers advanced inpatient hospice and palliative care in a home-like setting. We feel that by encouraging the patient’s family to be part of the patient’s care, this helps both patients and their families through this very challenging time.

Six Acre Pond

A 6 acre pond creates an atmosphere of tranquility and provides a calm, quiet refuge. Quality of life for the patient and for the family is at the core of Amara Hospice’s philosophy. Each of us should be able to die as comfortably as possible. Our facility’s environment encourages the ability of family members to deal with the emotional pain and stress that comes with the passing of a loved one.

Las Casitas

Ensuring that safe quality hospice care is available to all patients in need, is the mission of the Amara Foundation for Indigent Hospice Care, Inc. This not for profit corporation has established a charitable foundation dedicated to the development of “Las Casitas.” Las Casitas are one bedroom duplexes located adjacent to the Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility, and dedicated to use by families who otherwise could not receive hospice care.

Bury Hospice closure threat: Campaigners fear facility could close due to funding

Hospice at risk of closing due to funding cuts

A flagship hospice could close due to government funding cuts.

Campaigners fear Bury Hospice on Rochdale Old Road, Bury, could be forced to shut within six months because the government is ‘withholding’ 40m from the NHS budget in Bury .

James Frith, a Labour councillor in Bury who will contest the Bury North seat at the next general election, is launching a campaign and said the hospice was ‘at risk’.

And he claimed dementia care, fertility treatment and psychological treatments in Bury could also be hit.

The development follows a plea to the government for extra cash amid claims the NHS in Bury was one of the worst-funded in the region.

The M.E.N. understands that concerns about the future of the 5m facility have been raised by senior NHS managers in Bury. Hospice bosses have been asked to provide a full report.

Coun Frith said: “Our priority has to be keeping the hospice to ensure the very best care for the terminally ill and most frail in Bury. We’ve all donated, fundraised or supported the hospice or know someone who has.

It’s one of our most cherished resources. That it now faces closure is an absolute disgrace. I hope many will want to join the campaign to save Bury Hospice and stand up for NHS Bury together.”

Dr Kiran Patel, chair of Bury Clinical Commissioning Group, said NHS services in Bury were ‘underfunded’ and extra cash for the hospice was ‘limited’.

He said: “Recognising the vital work that the hospice does for the patients of Bury, we have asked the hospice to provide the Clinical Commissioning Group with a proposal for further funding in the hospice, which we would consider at our next board meeting.

“However, it must be recognised that our resources are fully committed and our ability to fund fully any additional proposals are limited due to us being the most underfunded Clinical Commissioning Group in the north of England.”

Earlier this year, the health secretary was asked by Labour’s shadow cabinet member and Bury MP Ivan Lewis to step in to help fill the funding black hole. The party said shortfalls in cash allocations would leave the NHS in Bury a total of 60m short over three years.

The hospice opened after moving from Dumers Lane, Radcliffe. in March last year. It provides support to more than 1,000 seriously and terminally ill patients each year.

How to Convince your Loved One to Seek Treatment for Depression

Watching someone you love suffer with depression can be very upsetting. You want to help them feel better, but are unsure of how to approach the situation. Make sure that before you engage your loved one in a conversation about their depression you take the time to learn as much as you can about the disorder. When you do speak to your loved one, be sure that you really listen to what they are saying and make it clear that their feelings are valid. Suggest that a psychiatric treatment center may be beneficial to help them to work through their emotional pain and tell them that there are trained professionals dedicated to helping them create a brighter future.

It is also important to make sure that you are taking care of your needs as well. Locate community groups in conjunction with a psychiatric hospital or elsewhere that you can go to for support or reach out to a therapist yourself. If you aren’t taking care of yourself, you won’t be any help to your loved one. The best thing you can do is be there for your family member throughout the entire process.

Why Should You Consider Treatment at North Tampa Behavioral Health Hospital

Depression is a serious illness that can cause significant distress and disruption in your life. People with depression find it very difficult to function on a daily basis; you may have lost interest in activities that you once enjoyed, have problems at work or school due to lack of concentration, or find that your personal relationships are suffering. You may also feel fatigued, irritable, and that nothing will ever get better. Some people have described depression as “living in a black hole.” In severe cases of depression, this disorder can become so debilitating that you are unable to even get out of bed. If these problems are not addressed, depression symptoms can become worse and potentially end in suicide and seeking treatment a depression treatment center or hospital becomes imperative.

Inpatient treatment for depression has been shown to be one of the most effective forms of intervention available. Psychiatric treatment centers are designed to make you feel comfortable and supported as you work through your depression.

Treatment Philosophy and Benefits

As the leading psychiatric treatment center hospital in Tampa, we believe a supportive and caring environment is the best setting to begin healing from depression. During your stay, you will connect with and gain understanding from others struggling with similar issues. We want you to be able to recognize your positive qualities and manage your depression so that you can live a happy, productive, and fulfilled life. Our eclectic treatment approach stems from our belief that successful recovery starts by providing effective case management and stabilization. This approach will enable you to discover positive qualities you possess and restore a sense of hope about your recovery. Additional experiential methods help to address your problems from a variety of perspectives.

Types of Therapy We Use to Treat Depression

There are a number of different treatment options available at inpatient treatment centers to help people suffering with depression. However, the most common form of treatment includes a combination of medication and therapeutic modalities. At our psychiatric hospital, we look at the whole person and make treatment plans based on your individual needs.

If you feel that you are in crisis, or are having thoughts about hurting yourself or others, please call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

Depending upon what you and your treatment team decide, medication may be a part of a short or long-term plan to help manage your depression. Common types of medications used to treat depression include antidepressants and anti-anxiety agents, as well as medications to treat co-occurring disorders. As you progress through your recovery journey, you may be able to be weaned off your medication as you learn different coping strategies for your problems. Some of the therapies we offer include:

Group Therapy is a major component of therapy we use at our treatment center. These sessions may include process groups, psycho-educational groups, and skill-based groups. Process groups allow you to work through your struggles and concerns about your depression in a supportive environment. Psycho-educational groups will educate you about your depression, any medications you may have been prescribed, and other topics related to your depression. Additional groups could include stress management, assertiveness training, social skills training, and effective coping techniques.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been shown to be the most effective type of therapy when it comes to treating depression. During CBT, you will explore the negative ways you think and learn how to challenge and replace those thoughts with more positive ways of looking at the world.

Family consultation is used to determine any family dynamics that may contribute to your depression. Family involvement is an important part of the recovery process. Additionally, your family will be connected with appropriate outside resources in Tampa or elsewhere where they can learn about depression, treatments that are used to treat depression, and how to cope with their own feelings.

Continuing Care and Levels of Care

Once you and your treatment team have decided that you no longer require inpatient treatment, a discharge plan will be put in place to ensure you are able to continue your recovery after you have walked out of our doors. In the event that you do not feel ready to leave the inpatient setting, a residential treatment center may be the appropriate next step. For many people, aftercare treatment programs may include a step down to our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). These programs are structured much like inpatient programs, but vary in the hours and days of the week that treatment is provided

In the event that you are being discharged home, we will collaborate with local providers to help you set up an appropriate outpatient treatment plan. We will also connect you with community support in your area so that you can continue your treatment and recovery on an outpatient basis.

    Inpatient Rehab

    Inpatient Addiction Treatment

Getting sober on your own is not only dangerous during the initial detox, it is also more likely to result in a relapse later on.

Addiction treatment centers provide a monitored environment where you will get the medical attention you need, as well as the emotional support to overcome drug or alcohol abuse.

Inpatient programs offer the highest level of treatment care, with medically supervised detoxification and around-the-clock care and support.

There are several options for inpatient addiction treatment. Rehabs differ by location, therapies offered, staff experience, amenities and more. It’s important to find the one that best fits your specific needs.

What is an Inpatient Rehab Program?

Inpatient rehab is a residential treatment center where patients reside for various lengths depending on their program. The average stay is 30 days, but most addiction treatment facilities offer longer programs (60 days, 90 days or even longer).

The length of treatment depends on several factors, including the severity of the addiction, the existence of any co-occurring mental health conditions. and whether the person has been through rehab before.

Most inpatient centers offer family programs, where members of the patient’s family participate in family counseling and activities. This provides the opportunity to mend trust and identify dysfunctional relationships or dynamics that could trigger a relapse. Families can help encourage and support their loved one by being actively involved in their recovery.

Each inpatient residential facility provides its own unique accommodations. Some are basic, with shared rooms, cafeteria-style meals and recreational activities like pool and ping-pong. Others may offer private luxury suites with gourmet meals and a host of amenities, like a pool, spa and gym.

How to Choose an Inpatient Treatment Center

Because every person who needs addiction treatment is different, there are also a variety of differences among treatment programs. It is important to ask the right questions to find the treatment program that is right for you.

Questions you should ask when choosing a rehab:

What types of addiction does the program treat?

It’s important to find a center that has experience treating your specific addiction and any co-occurring disorders. Every substance has different physical and psychological effects, so make sure to ask about the treatment center’s familiarity with treating your specific one.

What types of therapy are offered?

Most rehabs offer group and individual counseling. Beyond that, there are many different types of traditional and nontraditional therapies. Maybe family therapy is important to you, or holistic therapies, such as yoga, art, music or equine therapy. Learn about the different options and find a rehab that offers what you’re looking for.

What kind of aftercare andsober livingoptions do they offer?

Many treatment centers provide guidance and planning for after you leave the inpatient stay. A guided aftercare program is essential to maintaining sobriety. Find out if your rehab of choice has an aftercare program or can help you find one.

What credentials and licensing does the facility have?

Because you want access to skilled professionals, find out the accreditation of the clinical staff and the facility itself. This is important, as sub-standard facilities can not only fail to help you, but do so at a high financial cost.

What peer group programs are offered?

Many rehabs adhere to the 12-step program — Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. Others provide alternative options, such as the SMART recovery program. Some even provide the option to undergo a 12-step program or an alternative within the same rehab.

    What are my payment options?

If insured, finding out if a treatment center accepts your insurance is the first step to coming up with a plan to pay for treatment. If uninsured, ask if the treatment center offers scholarships or in-house financing options. Posing these kinds of questions will help narrow your options down and make the process of getting treatment less stressful.

Treatment was the best thing that ever happened to me and truly did help save my life. I had a counselor who was tough and believed in me, but made me work hard to try to get better and stay that way.

Invoice Factoring -an advance on money due to you from a business

    Invoice Factoring

    Its what your looking for

    What is factoring:

Invoice factoring is essentially an advance on money / cash due to a business, by means of the sale of the invoices to a bridging company. This is not a loan against invoices but an outright sale of selected invoices ( one or many ) or the full debtors book, to a bridging finance company, but with recourse to the seller of the full invoice value.

Why use single invoice factoring or selective invoice discounting

This is a very simple and reasonably quick method (within 2 weeks of receipt of all documents) used by businesses to improve cash flow or working capital as and when needed. There is no lock in period and no penalty for early settlement. You elect to bridge one or a few invoices not the entire debtors book.

    Costs Once

Once off set up fee of approx 3 % to 5 % depending on the size of the invoice bridging required. Monthly cost of between 4,5 % and 6 %

    Pre-Conditions to Discount Invoices:
The goods /services must have been delivered / rendered and the customer must have accepted the goods / services with no pending disputes. The company requesting the bridging should be profitable and have a clean credit record.
