Sept. 11 – I got this emailed to me. I have an Allis Chalmers Model 66 All-Crop Harvester. We have used it the last 6 years or so to harvest our small grain crops of a few acres. This machine works and runs well. We are moving out of the country and cannot take this with us. I need to sell this machine and it would be a travesty if some scrap iron guy purchased this as scrap. I am hoping that I can find a good home for this. I would consider any reasonable offer.

If you are able to spread the word to find a good buyer and home, it would be greatly appreciated. Anyone interested can email or call me at home (leave message). I am located near Glenwood MN.

Garden House

Welcome!

Nestled in the attractive, lively and significant Edgbaston area of Birmingham, The Garden House is a handsome, spacious pub created from three 19th century homes. Serving sumptuous pub food, this is a perfect spot to pause for a relaxing Sunday lunch or dinner with friends.

The Garden House is a handsome pub which sits within three early 19th century homes in the attractive Edgbaston area of Birmingham. Within half a mile of this charming inn lie the Grade II listed tower of Perrot’s Folly and the Victorian tower of Edgbaston Waterworks. The former was reputedly built so that John Perrott, a local landowner had a vantage point to spy on his unfaithful wife, and the two towers together are believed to have inspired the Two Towers of J.R.R Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings novels, with the author growing up in the shadow of these two impressive Edgbaston landmarks.

Edgbaston is also home to the picturesque Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses was opened in 1832 by J. C. Loudon, the preeminent garden planner of his day. The array of plants on offer is magnificent, including a unique hybrid fern tree which has stood here for over 140 years. A wander through attractive Edgbaston will also lead you to the legendary Edgbaston Cricket Ground, and the impressive University of Birmingham, where the stunning clock tower rises above a cluster of handsome brick buildings.

A handsome, traditional pub in scenic Edgbaston, The Garden House is a perfect spot for relaxing with tasty pub food. Tucked back from the road, behind a picturesque row of grand trees, this is an ideal haven in which to sit down for a leisurely Sunday lunch and a refreshing glass of cask ale.

Built in the early-19th century, The Garden House is nestled in Edgbaston, once a rural area outside of Birmingham, but now an attractive corner of this vibrant, historic and handsome West Midlands city. Though little is known of the area’s early history, the name Edgbaston is believed to have been Old English for ‘village of a man called Ecgbald’. One of the oldest structures still visible is Edgbaston Hall, which was initially garrisoned during the reign of Charles I, and though it was burnt down in 1668, it was rebuilt by Sir Richard Gough less than fifty years later. The family from which Sir Richard came, the Gough-Calthorpes, were one of the prominent landowning Birmingham families over a period of several hundred years, and Edgbaston’s attractive, rural profile was largely retained by the Gough-Calthorpe family refusing to allow factories or warehouses to be built in Edgbaston, making the area a popular retreat for the middle classes. The area also boasts Edgbaston Campus, the main site of the handsome University of Birmingham, where the Art Deco, Grade II listed Barber Institute of Fine Arts, was opened by Queen Mary in 1939, and includes paintings and sketches from numerous world-renowned artists, as well as a fascinating collection of rare Byzantine and Roman coins.

Edgbaston has held on to its green and leafy character to the present day, with no less than three public gardens located in the area – the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and the lesser known University of Birmingham Winterbourne Botanic Garden and Martineau Gardens, renowned for its spectacularly lush, green meadows. This Birmingham suburb is perhaps best known, though, for the stunning and historic Edgbaston Cricket Ground. Established in 1882, this home of Warwickshire Cricket Club is regarded as arguably the country’s finest cricket ground, and this seminal stadium is where in 1957, Peter May and Colin Cowdrey put on England’s highest-scoring partnership of all time; an astonishing stand of 411. Brian Lara became the world’s first batsman to score 500 runs in a non-international, first-class cricket game at Edgbaston in 1994 – a full hundred and sixty years since on from a different landmark, Birmingham Town Hall, transformed the centre of this city.

The rich and varied history of Birmingham goes back to the Saxon period, and by the late 12th century, it had developed into an important town, with King Henry II granting the Lord of the Manor, Peter de Birmingham, the right to host a weekly market in the town. Throughout the late-medieval period, Birmingham became a hub for metalworking and leather tanning, and wool was also a popular local export. Birmingham suffered during the civil war, with the King’s troops invading the city and some of them looting from homes. The people of Birmingham bravely put up defences against invasion by Royalist forces, but were overcome in May 1643. The town recovered quickly, and in the 19th century, Birmingham was a proud industrial centre, with the new Grade I listed Birmingham Town Hall (constructed in 1834), the pioneer in a trend of Roman-style architecture, and it was chosen for the premiere of Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah’ and Elgar’s ‘The Dream of Gerontius’, as well as hosting Charles Dickens for a series of public readings. The culture of this impressive city is represented not only in its long history, but also the wealth of museums present-day Birmingham, such as The Pen Museum, which fascinatingly charts Birmingham’s own involvement in the development of our writing implements, and country houses like the spectacular Grade I listed Aston Hall, whose grand interior and pristine gardens are open to the public.

Munsinger Gardens

From Sawmill to Flower Garden

The history of St. Cloud’s Munsinger Gardens may be compared to the garden’s well-worn paths; for both have interesting and unexpected turns. During the 1880s the lower east bank of the Mississippi River was the site of a sawmill. But by 1915 the city purchased the area for use as a neighborhood park. Eventually, the site became known as Riverside Park and Munsinger Gardens, the latter section named in honor of a former superintendent of parks, Joseph Munsinger. Munsinger Gardens has experienced many different stages of development. Improvements to the gardens occurred during the Great Depression through the Works Progress Administration. Projects from this period included planting trees and flowerbeds. Other additions included the creation of rock-lined paths, a lily pond, and a fountain. However, most of the work in developing the garden was directed by Joseph Munsinger. The first greenhouse was built in 1938. While the original greenhouse is gone, new ones stand in its place, and garden staff continues the tradition of growing flowers that help beautify this wonderful jewel known as Munsinger Gardens.

Learn from the experts

Each of our separate divisions has its own specialized, expert tutors.

And we only employ tutors who are actively working in their field and who want to spread their knowledge.

Like this page?
Tell your friends

That way, you don’t get armchair experts or professional academics who lack experience of the real world.

Plus, we’re more practical than many organizations. So you’ll find our courses contain more detailed information and instructions about how to run your own business.

Study online

When you study one of our courses you’ll access all of the materials online. So you won’t have to wait for the course to arrive.

Once, you’ve enrolled we’ll provide you with login details and the name of your tutor. And as soon as you have these details you can log straight into the system and get started on the course.

Your tutor

As we’ve said, you’ll have your own personal tutor. Research shows you’re more likely to succeed in this interactive, customized way, compared with mere self-study or book learning.

That means you’re more likely to complete your course, and get the qualification.

We’re recognized

As you’ll see from the logos on the top right of this page, we’re accredited by many independent certification organizations. That means your qualification has real worth in the eyes of other people.

Our new facilities are really UNIQUE among other urgent cares. They are extra clean, spacious and well maintained. There is no other urgent care facility with similar warm, comfortable, clean and spacious waiting room.

All of our clinics are designed to be a “mini-ER”. Our exam rooms are up to date and each clinic is equipped with EKG, Cardiac/vitals Monitor and all other necessary tools for minor emergencies.

We use non-disposable surgical tools (much better than the ER disposable Tools). We have an autoclave in every facility to sterilize these equipment.

We have used an Electronic Medical Records system (EMR) since 2008 and we use electronic prescription system in all of our clinics. Our EMR system is Aprima. This offers a great advantage to our patients in terms of storing and reproducing the medical records. In addition, you do not have to worry about paper registration or about telling us your medications and allergies more than once.

We have been using the Digital X-Rays reading technology at all of our clinics. The FUJI Digital X-Rays reader offers greater accuracy in reading X-Rays, since it allows the doctor to magnify the image, change the contrast and rotate. It makes the interpretation of X-rays much easier. Patients are usually shown their X-rays immediately after it is done. Our X-rays are reviewed usually by a board certified radiologist within 24-48 hours from the time it is done (Fridays and weekends are read on Monday).

The Woodhaven and Garden city sites have a full service pharmacy attached to the clinic.

    Our Staff

Our clinics are staffed with experienced Board certified ER, Family practice physicians, surgeons, internists and PA’s. We offer superior high quality medical care

    Our Roster Includes Dr. Nasry
    Dr. Mahfooz
    Dr. Embree
    Dr. VandeRoest
    Dr. Shaker
    Dr. Harp
    PA Dabaja
    PA Aoub

Each clinic is managed by experienced medical assistants. We educate our employees and strive to deliver the best possible service in the best possible time; although, we must admit we are not perfect but we are committed to continuous education and improvement.

Uniform and badges are going to be enforced in all of our clinics.

    PEX REPIPE SPECIALIST

Uponor Pex Repipe – The World’s First, Best, And Most Widely Used System For Single Family Homes And Residential Units.

    What is PEX?

PEX is an acronym for crosslinked polyethylene. It is a flexible, durable, proven piping product that has been used in plumbing systems for more than 20 years. PEX tubing won’t pit, scale or corrode and, because of its flexibility, it also offers potential freeze-damage protection.

Residential Commercial Pex Plumbing. Call Toll Free 877-473-7473

Uponor Pex plumbing systems feature PEX-a tubing, which is considered the superior PEX tubing manufacturing method in the industry. PEX-a is the most flexible of all PEX types, and because of its shape and thermal memory, it can use ProPEX expansion fittings which are the only fitting system that actually gets stronger over time – making it highly leak resistant.

    1) Repiping in a home begins at the transition point.

    2) The transition point is the point where the potable water system enters the building from the exterior of the building.

    3) Repiping a potable water system means you totally abandon the existing potable system and replace it with a new system.

    4) The first step in repiping your home is masking or “covering” the floors, and this must be completed before the walls are masked off. This overlap “ enveloped ” system allows the plastic sheeting to be rolled up in one continuous motion.

    5) Cutting the sheetrock: You will be shocked at how little sheetrock has to be removed for the layout and installation of a new potable water system. A real Pex Plumber is an expert at HVAC, framing, plumbing, and electrical layout, and will lay out the home pex repipe in the most effective route. The better the repiper. the smaller and fewer the drywall holes!

    6) A “GREEN REPIPE” potable water system refers to a Pex repipe potable system only – such as UPONOR or ZURN with corrosion resistant fittings. CPVC and copper systems are not green systems.

    7) The drywall pieces that are removed must be used in the patching process as each texture is a little different in thickness. This gives you a uniform surface thickness as you start the repair process. Each piece goes back in the hole it came from.

    8) Repipe with an approved material. There are currently three main materials used in pex repiping jobs across the US: copper pipe and fittings, CPVC pipe and fittings, and PEX repipe and fittings. (DO NOT USE CPVC, IT IS THE NEXT POLYBUTYLENE)

    9) Repipe inspections must be performed by the local building inspectors after the repipe is completed, with the system under full water pressure.

    10) The signed inspection card must be given to the homeowner after the PEX repipe inspection is completed.

    11) Drywall repair begins after all the necessary backing has been installed. Backing supports the drywall pieces that were removed to access the potable water pipes and accommodate the repiping of a new Pex repipe or copper potable water system.

    12) The fiberglass mesh tape must be used 100% of the time.

    13) The patches must be pre-filled with quick set patching compound. The compound comes in 18lb bags, and because it is a powder, it must be mixed with water. This locks the perimeter of each patch and will make the area of the patch stronger than it was before the work process began. The reason this is important is that when you close the doors in the house, the walls flex just a little bit, and if you do not perform this method of repair, the patch will fracture over time from the flex/vibration caused by shutting the doors.

    14) Do not coat the drywall patches with regular all-purpose joint compound on the repipe patches. This is a common practice and the patches will crack later 100% of the time, even if it’s years later.

    15) Coat all the repipe drywall patches with quick set patching compound only. USG will do and you can find it at any home and hardware store, or you will have fractures in the walls at the patch locations.

    16) Float all the walls with quick set patching compound and use a 12″ drywall knife and stagger each coat until the walls become smooth and flat. The next step is wet sanding the patches and this must be done if you want the patches to blend in perfectly after the texture is applied. The reason you’ve seen bad patches in the past is that repairmen do not know how to “kill the edges.” This is an old drywall term that means you must do the detail wet sanding work and there is no short cut.

    17) Texture to match the existing texture, and this is not as easy as you might think. This is a real art form for the few that know what they are doing. Also, if the texture is spray texture, you must sponge off the overspray for the texture to match. Nothing gives away the location of a patch more than overspray that is painted over and not “killing the edges.”

    18) Paint to match the existing paint. All repipe companies color match the same way. They run down to their local hardware store and have the computer color matching done by the man behind the counter. This is beginner color matching. The proper way to color match is hand color matching. First, match the paint sheen. Second, computer match for the base color. Third, tint for color adjustment. Fourth, match the color and sheen after the paint sample has dried. Repeat if necessary. Did you know that the paint color on the wall after it dries will be different than the paint color while it is wet and in the can?

    19) If you follow the basic repiping rules, after a very short time you will not be able to point out all the drywall patches from the repair. You will simply forget where the holes were due to the patches receiving the proper floating, texture and painting techniques. Your friends, neighbors, relatives, and even plumbing contractors will not be able to find the patches.

    20) This is a basic guideline for a home repipe. and if done, properly you will have a repipe that was done as well as a repipe can be done.

At Integrity Repipe. we provide total abandonment of your existing potable system, and there are never hidden extras, and we don’t hire subcontractors. You’ll receive nothing but the finest, most complete and professional job in the industry. The scope will be for a lead-free and yellow brass -free potable “GREEN SYSTEM” with a full lifetime warranty that covers material and labor.

St Luke’s Hospice Open Garden Event, Plymouth, Devon

Gardens ranging from the unique and personal to the very grand are opening across the county for a very good cause.

From April, St Lukes Hospice, Plymouth, is launching the scheme to give the public a chance to discover the beautiful, often hidden, gems of the South West. Located across Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall, each garden will open up throughout the year to help raise vital funds for the charity.

Hayley Dann, Fundraising Manager for St Lukes said: We really do have some fantastic gardens ranging from the unique and personal to the grand and immaculate grounds of some of the regions stately homes. By launching now and going through to the summer, the public will get to see the gardens at their finest.

St Lukes Hospice relies heavily on community fundraising as Government funding covers less than 30% of its annual 5m running costs. Each year, St Lukes needs to raise at least 3.5m from the communities it serves in order to stay open. That is why public support is so very important. Organisers hope that the Open Garden Scheme will be a fresh new idea that helps to raise valuable funds whilst giving local people the opportunity to appreciate beautiful gardens, some of which they might not normally have access to.

As well as featuring some of the most extravagant and impressive gardens in the South West, including the truly spectacular property and grounds of Gnaton Hall, Yelverton, a number of St Lukes supporters have signed up to showcase private gardens that are not normally on show to the public. Visitors will definitely be spoilt for choice.

One such supporter is Clem Spencer, who is known throughout Plymouth for his beautiful garden. Each year, Clem opens it up in aid of St Lukes and holds an art exhibition. This gives visitors the chance to appreciate the exhibition in a tranquil space surrounded by the beauty of Clems garden. The many hours he spends preening and pruning ensures that it is always at its very best.

If taking a stroll around magnificent gardens isnt enough, there will be art exhibitions, plant sales and the promise of much more besides meaning that there will be something for the whole family.

St Lukes has been providing specialist free palliative medical and nursing care for patients from across Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall since 1982. Staff and volunteers are passionate that patients should have dignity and choice at a time in their lives when they may feel they have none.

There is a shared vision at St Lukes and that is to provide the very best care to all life-limited and terminally ill patients wherever their preferred place of care might be hospice, hospital or home. It is fundraising initiatives such as the Open Garden Scheme that help to make that vision a reality.

A brochure, complete with dates and details for each garden involved will be available soon from the charitys website. So, this year, why not support St Lukes and take the opportunity to walk around some of the South Wests most exquisite gardens you will be assured of a warm welcome!

Covent Garden Hotel is “a quirky modern take on traditional English style.” The hotel’s interior has been dramatically designed by owner and design director Kit Kemp, and reflects her personal attention to detail. Official Description (provided by the hotel)

The Covent Garden Hotel opened in April 1996 but the building dates back to the 1890’s when it operated as a French hospital. It is located in Monmouth Street, a charming cobbled street in the heart of the theatre district and surrounded by interesting boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Covent Garden Hotel is “a quirky modern take on traditional English style.” The hotel’s interior has been dramatically designed by owner and design director Kit Kemp, and reflects her personal attention to detail. The ground floor is just like a stage set. A quietly bustling lobby leads into Brasserie Max, the hotel’s bar and restaurant. Up a sweeping stone staircase and into a sumptuous wood paneled drawing room and library, each with a log burning fireplace, quirky furniture and vivid upholstery. Downstairs there is a gym, private event space and a screening room. more less

    The hotel at a glance

Star studded, intimate, well located and relaxed, the Covent Garden Hotel is the perfect headquarters for those looking to raid London’s theatre district.

When stars start to flock to a boutique hotel, you know that the place has got discretion down pat and if you’re looking for the same getaway experience, the Covent Garden Hotel is one of the best around. Staff are friendly and helpful without being obtrusive, and even though things can get very glamorous over here; the laid back and home away from home vibe is conducive to friendly conversations and relaxation.

The hotel’s guest areas, the Tiffany Library and the Drawing room, give out a classic vibe with the wood paneling and fireplace, but the quirky furniture reminds you that you’re in a Firmdale hotel and that fun and games are what this place is about. If you have any doubts, you can just head down to the hotel’s screening room for a private movie session, or sip a drink in the Brasserie max’s youthful atmosphere.

As usual, room designs are upbeat and the chintz motifs really give this hotel its signature flair which we’re sure many guests have tried to emulate back home. The cream of the crop here is the Covent Garden Loft suite. This two level room is the perfect symbol for this hotel’s home away from home tag with its perky yet not over the top design. If you had commissioned Kit Kemp to decorate your home, this is probably what it would end up looking like and anyone who has lounged in the suite’s sitting room might be tempted to do just that.

Our inspector’s description of this service

    Last updated 21 June 2016
We carried out this inspection under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. This inspection was planned to check whether the provider is meeting the legal requirements and regulations associated with the Health and Social Care Act 2008, to look at the overall quality of the service, and to provide a rating for the service under the Care Act 2014.

This inspection took place on 15 March 2016 and was unannounced.

The inspection was carried out by one inspector, a pharmacy inspector, a specialist advisor and an expert by experience. The specialist advisor had the experience working as a nurse within the community and within the field of palliative care. The expert by experience is a person who has personal experience of having used a similar service or who has cared for someone who has used this type of care service.

Before our inspection we asked the provider to complete a Provider Information Return (PIR). The PIR is a form that asks the provider to give some key information about the service, what the service does well and what improvements they plan to make. We also reviewed information that the provider had sent to us which included notifications of significant events that affect the health and safety of people who used the service.

We spoke with six people who used the services provided by the hospice, seven relatives, three volunteers, two senior staff nurses, four care staff, a unit manager, a consultant and one receptionist.

We also spoke with the management team, the registered manager, managers with different responsibilities for areas within the service like, human resources, family support service, finance, quality management, training, kitchen and housekeeping staff.

We reviewed three people’s care plans to see how their support was planned and delivered. We looked at a selection of medication records to check medicines were managed safely. We spent time observing staff interacting with people and their relatives.

We also looked at the recruitment files of four members of staff and two volunteers, a range of policies and procedures, maintenance records of equipment and the building, quality assurance and clinical audits and meeting minutes for different departments.
