Search for hotels on Google

You can compare and book hotels using Google Search.

  • Filter hotels by price, location, ratings, and hotel class.
  • View hotel details, including photos and reviews.
  • Reserve a room with one of our booking partners.

Search for a hotel

  1. Visit Google .
  2. In the search bar, enter hotels in [destination]
  3. In the hotel results box, pick your dates or click More hotels .

Focus your hotel search

  • Under the dates, use the filters to narrow your hotel search by price, rating, hotel class, and amenities.
  • Use the map to see the location and other hotels in the area.

Book a hotel

  1. Select a hotel.
  2. Under “Book a room,” click a booking option or click View more rates. Next to the option you want, click Book .
  3. Complete the transaction on the hotel or travel agency’s website.

Note. Some hotels and travel agencies allow you to complete your booking directly on Google. In these cases, follow the steps to book a hotel on Google .

Hotel prices come from Google’s partners who use a service called the Hotel Prices Application Programming Interface (API). Learn about the steps and ongoing tasks that partners take to send prices to Google .

Sometimes our partners offer special lower prices that aren’t available to everyone. For example, a price might be available only to people who are signed in to their Google Account or on a mobile device. To find out if the prices listed aren’t offered to everyone, select Information .

To help you with your hotel search, we highlight great deals by adding a “Deal” badge next to the hotel name. There are two types of deals:

  • Hotels priced below their normal rate or below the rates of similar hotels nearby. You can see the price difference compared to the usual rate.
  • Hotels where a partner is offering a discount compared to the current market price for that hotel. The savings amount is shown.

Under “Book a room” you’ll see ads from our hotel partners related to your search. These ads are based on your current search terms and may be based on whether you’re signed in to a Google Account.

Prices are the public rates available from our partners for the dates you selected. You may also be eligible to see lower prices that aren’t public. Learn more about ads .

Cancellations and refunds

Any trip changes, cancellations, and refunds must be handled with the booking partner directly.

You can find the booking partner’s contact info on the booking confirmation page or in the confirmation email from the partner. If you booked a hotel directly on Google, you can find the partner’s contact info in the confirmation email from Google.

Info Google stores about my searches

Info about your previous searches and saved hotels are stored in your Search History. The dates of your last search are also stored temporarily and used across Google when you search for hotels.

If your company doesn t have a mobile app yet, you could be missing out on a golden opportunity to tap into new revenue streams. Smartphones and tablets are where today s consumers live. The majority of the 120 million smartphone owners in the U.S. use a shopping or retail app at least once a month, according to a recent Nielsen report. Yours could be one of them.

If you d like a mobile app that lets customers buy your products — or simply access products reviews, videos or coupons — you ll need to hire an experienced developer you trust to custom build it.

Here are 10 key questions to ask mobile app developers to help you choose the right one for the job:

1.Where can I find examples of mobile apps you ve developed?
Qualified candidates should be eager to provide you with a list of apps they are personally responsible for creating — or at least played a major role in developing — complete with links to each in Apple s iOS App Store, BlackBerry App World or Google Play, Google s Android app store.

That way you can begin to gauge whether or not they have the skills, experience and vision to produce the type of mobile app you re looking for, says Chad Mureta. CEO of App Empire, a San Francisco-based app development firm, and author of App Empire: Make Money, Have a Life, and Let Technology Work for You (Wiley, 2012).

2. May I have a list of your current and past clients?
Unlike reading movie credits, there s typically no way to tell who actually developed an app. This is why speaking directly with candidates current and former clients can be essential to verifying that the developers actually created the apps they claim to have worked on, Mureta says.

Checking references also gives you an opportunity to ask how reliable, responsive and results-oriented candidates are. For example, you might ask whether they delivered on deadline and within budget, and how well they work under pressure.

Candidates sometimes only offer references who have a favorable opinion of them, says Farhan Thawar, vice president of engineering at Xtreme Labs. an Ontario, Canada-based mobile strategy and product development firm. He suggests visiting a candidate s LinkedIn profile to see if you have any professional colleagues or former co-workers in common. If you do, contact your mutual connections and ask them about their impression of the candidate s experience, capabilities and work ethic.

3. What kind of smartphone do you use?
This question can provide insight into how passionate and knowledgeable a candidate is about specific mobile platforms, Thawar says. If you re telling me that you can build an app for an iPhone, then you should have an iPhone, you should be playing with the apps that you are building and also playing with other people s apps on a very regular basis. The same goes for Android and BlackBerry.

4. How can my app make money?
If your primary goal is to generate revenue with your app, the developer needs to know exactly how to build in features that will allow you to make money. You could opt for a pay-per-download revenue model, charging, say, between 99 cents and $4.99, depending on how many features your app offers.

If you opt for a free app, be sure the candidate is well versed in how to integrate mobile display ads, in-app purchases or paid subscription services.

5. How will we communicate during the development process?
The quality of your app often depends on how clearly and often you communicate your app design and functionality requirements throughout the development process.

Does your app developer prefer to chat in person or via phone, Skype, instant message or email — and how often? Or does he or she prefer to interact with you using a popular project and task management system like 37signals Basecamp. How often will he or she provide you with status updates?

6. What kind of special features can you create?
Apps rarely grab consumers attention without truly innovative and useful features. Figure out the bells and whistles you d like and then assess your developer s capabilities. For example, can your candidate add 3-D gaming, social media sharing, GPS check-ins or product coupon elements to your app?

7. Who will own the mobile app?
Typically the individual or company paying for a mobile app will own the finished product, Mureta says. To be sure you own all the rights to the app you commissioned, you and the app developer should sign a written copyright assignment or work made for hire contract. The document should establish confidentiality and state that you own the app s design, source code and all of its content.

8. How will you test my app?
Generally, the best way to test an app is simply to run it on the smartphone it will be used on. The candidate should provide a thorough explanation of how he or she conducts an extensive beta test to weed out any glitches. If bugs are found, how will the candidate fix them — and how quickly?

9. Will you submit my mobile app to app stores?
After you ve approved the beta-tested version of your app, the last step is for the developer to submit it to an app store for approval to be sold there. App submission is often a long, multi-step process that your developer should already know how to successfully navigate.

10. What are your fees and payment terms?
Draft a written agreement specifying that you will pay the developer by the hour or with a flat fee. Most developers, like Mureta, ask for a one-time fee upfront. Others require a deposit at the beginning of a project, often for up to half of the estimated total cost, with the balance due when the app is completed.

The most basic mobile apps can start between $1,000 and $5,000, but you could end up spending many times more if you pay a developer by the hour. More complicated mobile apps, including ones that are database driven or involve 3-D gaming, can cost thousands more.

About Google Maps
Google Maps is currently the most popular, as well as the most effective mapping service available on the internet. Google Maps is also a constantly evolving application, and users are able to provide suggestions, make corrections, and even design 3D structures for the Google Maps extension known as Google Earth. Finally, the service can be used at no cost by general users, and Google has actually gone as far as offering free access to the Google Maps API. However, there are also several enterprise solutions available, designed specifically for business-oriented applications.

Early Days of Google Maps

Drone jobs are in high demand.

Big companies, such as Amazon and Facebook. are looking for pilots who fly drones and engineers with experience in building the unmanned aircraft. And they are willing to pay top dollar for the right stuff.

Federal regulations currently prohibit the use of drones for commercial purposes. But all that will change soon, with the Federal Aviation Administration expected to soften rules next year to allow certain light-weight drones to make commercial flights up to 400 feet.

Enter drone industry jobs.

As many as 100,000 new jobs will be created in the first 10 years after unmanned aircraft are cleared for takeoff in U.S. airspace, according to a 2013 report from the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International.

Large employers are already paying up for drone pilots — about $50 an hour, or over $100,000 a year — according to Al Palmer, director of the center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems at the University of North Dakota.

The university is gearing up to meet the hot demand and Palmer expects the drone industry to grow exponentially as companies discover new uses for drones.

And the tech companies are excited at the prospect.

Facebook is bulking up its drone team. Amazon has said it wants to use drones to deliver small packages over short distances. And Google acquired Titan Aerospace. which makes high-altitude, solar-powered drones.

Why Google bought a drone company

At the University of North Dakota, most of the first 61 drone pilots who graduated have gone to work at major drone manufactures, such as Northrup Grumman ( NOC ). Lockheed Martin ( LMT ). General Atomics and Boeing ( BA ).

Palmer expects drones to be used in agriculture, public safety, oil and gas exploration, and even in the film industry, among others.

University donors are getting excited too. The University of North Dakota, which started its bachelor’s degree course in unmanned aircraft systems in 2008, recently received a $25 million endowment (it’s largest ever) to build a new drone research and training facility.

The main differences between the standard and enterprise versions of Google Analytics deal with the volume of and sources of data. Here s some elaboration on the areas in the comparison chart above.

More Data Collection

Both versions of Google Analytics enable you to collect data from websites, mobile apps for iOS and Android, and from custom data sources via the Measurement Protocol. GA360 has much higher limits on the amount of data that can be collected, with a tiered set of limits starting much much higher!

It also has additional slots for custom data (custom dimensions metrics) and more flexibility in organizing your data through higher limits on the number of properties and views you can have within an account. (Sorry I can t be more specific on the exact limits on properties views, but they are not public numbers.)

GA360 customers can also create Roll-up Properties, which allow you to combine data from multiple properties together (great for large organizations with collections of websites to avoid multiple sets of GA code to enable rolling up sites together).

Importing Data and Product Integrations

GA has a variety of integrations with Google advertising platforms you re probably already familiar with the AdWords integration. This is a two-way integration which both imports data from AdWords to Analytics (bringing in cost and impression data), as well as allows the export of remarketing audiences based on Analytics data to AdWords.

GA360 includes these features for AdWords as well as DoubleClick platform products DoubleClick Campaign Manager (formerly DoubleClick for Advertisers), DoubleClick Bid Manager, and DoubleClick for Publishers.

In addition to those direct integrations, GA allows importing data from custom data sources, including advertising cost data, product or content data, and more. GA360 enhances this with a feature called query-time import, meaning we can look at our historic data in the interface and view the new imported data, even if we ve changed or updated the import after the data was originally collected.

Reporting Improvements

If you were hoping that GA360 has some super-secret set of reports you ve never seen in the standard version of Google Analytics, you won t be blown away here. The table of contents of reports in GA360 is pretty much the same (although with expanded opportunities, given the additional data collection and import capabilities described above).

One additional enhancement is in the area of attribution modeling. The standard attribution modeling tool can give some formula-based models for attributing conversions to channels (like first-touch, last-touch, time decay, etc.). But which of those is the right model? GA360 includes a data driven attribution model, which actually uses an algorithm on your data to understand where different channels make the most impact.

There are also enhanced custom funnel reporting options for GA360 clients, enabling better flow reporting for on-site actions across users and sessions. This is great for visualizing multiple conversion paths through your website!

Combating Sampling

Just like GA360 allows you to collect more data, it also is designed to deal with large volumes of data better in reporting. As a reminder, when you request an ad-hoc report (a report that Google Analytics hasn t already pre-calculated, such as a custom report or a segment applied to a standard report), if the data exceeds a certain number of sessions, Google Analytics employs sampling to achieve answers quickly.

GA360 raises the limits for sampling to be much (much!) higher, so you re less likely to run into sampling as you explore your data. Another huge benefit, they ve moved sampling to the View level, which means you can help reduce sampling in the interface by adding View filters, no website changes required. If you are still hitting sampling, GA360 also has a number of additional tools to prevent or eliminate sampling, like Custom Tables (to pre-aggregate commonly-used custom reports or other sampled data) and the ability to generate completely unsampled reports. APIs and Google BigQuery

Google Analytics has a variety of APIs for reporting and configuration. Again, the differences here are mainly in retrieving large volumes of data such as unsampled reports. Implementing Custom Tables will help to reduce sampling, even when pulling the data out of Google Analytics to use in another platform.

GA360 also allows hit-level data to be automatically passed from Google Analytics into Google BigQuery, Google s big data storage and querying tool. This allows more complex analysis or can act as a conduit for exporting more granular data into a data warehouse. For companies looking to answer challenging questions with their data, like defining the customer journey, looking at user behavior across sessions, or joining together external data sources, Google BigQuery is the tool you ll be most excited about.

Google Attribution will include a variety of attribution models. Unfortunately Google hasn t publicly released much of the detail around this so I can t say much right now about Attribution and how it compares with and integrates with Analytics/Analytics 360 at this point. How Does Google Remarketing Work?

Google AdWords remarketing is a form of online advertising that enables sites to show targeted ads to users who have already visited their site. Past visitors will see these ads while they are browsing the web, watching YouTube videos or reading news sites, for example—keeping your brand top-of-mind and enticing visitors to come back for more.

How remarketing works

Remarketing, also known as retargeting, can dramatically increase your conversion rates and ROI. This is because past site visitors who are already familiar with your brand are much more likely to become customers or complete other valuable actions on your site.

How Does Google Remarketing Work?

If you already advertise on Google. all you need to do is add a piece of Google remarketing code, also known as a tag or pixel, to your website so that visitors can get added to your remarketing audiences through browser cookies. You can customize the code for different pages to correspond to more defined categories.

For example, let’s say you operate an e-commerce business that sells kitchen supples. You might create a “toaster” remarketing audience based on people who visit the pages of your site where you sell toasters. That way, you can show these specific visitors highly targeted display ads that market your toasters. You already know they are in-market for toasters, and now you can draw them back, perhaps with a special offer like “free shipping.”

The Google Display Network reaches 92% of all Internet users

Using remarketing, you can show Google ads to your previous site visitors while they browse the vast number of Google partner sites in the Google Display Network.

Google recommends that when you are starting your first remarketing campaign, you begin by targeting everyone who viewed your homepage. Just remember, that will increase your Google remarketing costs since your ads are being retargeted to more individuals, and you won’t be able to create ads that are quite as targeted. By targeting more narrowly, you can therefore increase ad relevancy and lower your cost per click .

Eventually, you can create different Google remarketing lists for super-targeted remarketing campaigns; for example, you can choose to show users who have already purchased from your site different ads from non-buyers (such as an offer for 30% off your second purchase).

Your remarketing audiences can be highly defined according to behavior and intent

Why Remarket? The Advantages of Google Ad Retargeting

Google ad retargeting is powerful online marketing technique because it allows you to stay connected with your target audience, even after they leave your site.

By presenting your display remarketing banner ads to visitors even as they browse other parts of the web, you are gaining brand exposure and becoming more recognizable to your target audience, raising trust and making them more likely to purchase from you.

Remarketing ads have much higher click-through rates and conversion rates than typical display ads:

As you can see, previous site visitors will click your ads at 2-3x the rate of new visitors.

Your Google remarketing costs will vary depending on how your campaigns fit into your online marketing strategy as a whole. However, in general, Google remarketing ads are some of the most cost-effective ad campaigns available to online advertisers.

Remarketing ad costs are very low on a per-click basis

Search ads in super-competitive industries can cost several dollars or more per click – and that’s just the average (with some keywords costing more like $50 per click). Display and social remarketing ad clicks by contrast might cost anywhere from 2-100x less.

To keep costs low, use Google remarketing in combination with contextual targeting, conversion filtering, frequency capping, and other cost-saving strategies. This will enable you to create highly targeted remarketing campaigns and increase your ad relevancy, showing most of your ads to the people who are most likely to click and convert.

Unitary Patent

Unitary Patents will make it possible to get patent protection in up to 26 EU Member States by submitting a single request to the EPO. They will build on European patents granted by the EPO under the rules of the European Patent Convention (EPC). so nothing will change in the pre-grant phase and the same high standards of quality search and examination will apply. After a European patent is granted, the patent proprietor will be able to request unitary effect, thereby getting a Unitary Patent which provides uniform patent protection in up to 26 EU Member States.

Reducing complexity and lowering costs

Today, an inventor can protect an invention in Europe via a national patent or a European patent. The EPO examines applications for European patents centrally, saving inventors the costs of parallel applications, while ensuring a high quality of granted patents.

However, granted European patents must be validated and maintained individually in each country where they take effect. This can be a complex and potentially very costly process: validation requirements differ between countries and can lead to high direct and indirect costs, including translation costs, validation fees (i.e. fees due in some member states for publication of the translations) and associated representation costs, such as the attorney fees charged for the administration of the patent (i.e. payment of national renewal fees). These costs can be considerable and depend on the number of countries where the patent proprietor wishes to validate the European patent.

Unitary Patents will remove the need for complex and costly national validation procedures.

  • The EPO acts as a one-stop-shop, allowing for a simple registration of a Unitary Patent.
  • No fees are due for the filing and examination of the request for unitary effect or for registration of a Unitary Patent.
  • No post-grant translations will be required after a six-year transitional period. During this period, a translation will be required for information only and will not have any legal effect.
  • For EU-based SMEs, natural persons, non-profit organisations, universities and public research organisations a new compensation scheme will cover costs related to the translation of the patent application if it was filed in an official EU language other than English, French or German. They will be paid a lump sum of EUR 500 when their Unitary Patent is registered.
  • Unitary Patents will also not be subject to the currently fragmented renewal fee system: there will be only one procedure, currency and deadline and no obligation to use a representative.
  • The renewal fees have been set at a very competitive level and are particularly attractive for the first ten years, the average lifetime of a European patent. But applicants will also save on indirect costs. The more countries in which the European patent would have been validated, the greater the savings.
  • All post-grant administration will be handled centrally by the EPO, further reducing costs and the administrative workload.
  • The online register will include legal status information relating to Unitary Patents notably on licences and transfers. This will also help to foster technology transfer and investment in innovation.
  • Unitary Patents will confer truly uniform protection since the substantive patent law governing the scope and any limitations of the rights and the remedies available in cases of infringement has been harmonised in the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court.

In no time I have booked my tatkal ticket, there was a time we had to wait long-long time to book tatkal ticket and it was highly possible that we were unable to book the ticket. Just to dispel the misconceptions: this has nothing to do with Modi. The move to new platform has been going on since 2012 so if any credit, it must be with previous Govt.

Next generation e-ticket booking system of IRCTC is not displaying the booked tickets records when trying to file TDR. I have not travelled on 20-Oct-2014 and tried to file the TDR. In booking history i could see all the ticket information,with booked status along with PNR Number and transaction Id. But when clicked on TDR to apply it shows no records found with booked status.

The school in Kenya was the biggest success. There, equipment was procured locally, maintained locally and the program was run by locals. Hundreds of students were trained. All we did was send money.

The St. John s project was a mixed success. We brought in 20+ used laptops, 12 brand-new desktop workstations, installed it and paid for furniture and power. Within a short period of time, we found the classroom in disarray. We found food and drinks in the lab, equipment was dirty, and all the guidelines we set forth in our training document were ignored. Eventually we removed the brand-new workstations and repurposed them, leaving the laptops. To this day, the staff of St. John s is taking care of the laptops.

The AOET projects turned out the worst. That debacle is chronicled elsewhere on this site. We came to the realization that school computer labs are. difficult. Equipment dropped in the hands of a school (whether the staff is trained or not) ends up destroyed in a very short period of time. The schools typically close their doors to outsiders when they get computers, and in the end, a large financial and time investment only ends up serving a small group. Now, we don t do schools, but focus on community training centers which we can man with trained staff. Our doors are open to the community and to neighboring schools, and we get the biggest impact for our donor s money.

We are experimenting with variations on this theme and are scoping locations and worthy recipients for smaller, localized training centers, but our crown jewel is the Hackers For Charity Computer Training Center in Jinja, Uganda.

About the Center

In poverty-stricken parts of the world, it s no secret that job training is key to interrupting the cycle of poverty. Most job training programs focus on local trades: tailoring, wood working, farming, etc. However, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is an overlooked and understaffed job market, especially in underdeveloped countries where computers and technology trainers are scarce. But in many underdeveloped countries, like Uganda, the market for qualified ICT staff is set to explode thanks to broadband initiatives like the fiber lines running from Mombasa, which has already reached downtown Jinja, the site of our center.

With the stage set for a new job market, our goal is to provide world-class training of all levels to those that could not normally afford it. Since this is a non-profit community-based venture funded by outside projects (such as our Internet cafe and restaurant), our pricing model is extremely aggressive. Since most locals can afford to spend time in Internet cafes at a rate of 60 to 75 cents per hour, our pricing starts at only 50 cents per hour. We also offer scholarships to driven, dedicated individuals that can not afford this rate, and we offer free training to NGO staff, government employees, police officers and more. On any given month, 75% of our students train for free.

This model of training provides hands-on computer experience which sets our users apart from even ICT university graduates, most of whom have never touched a computer during their studies. We also provide training in the form of video-based CBTs and course materials. Video-based training allows students to take training at their own pace, and helps us keep costs down since we do not have to hire instructors. Unlike typical training business which can charge several months salary for a single
course, we never charge for training. Students only pay for computer usage time, whether they access our training resources or not.

About Our Training

Our e-book library gives students access to thousands of electronic computer reference and training books which litter our shelves in the West but are not available in most countries in Africa. We offer video training and certificate courses in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and many other commonly used software packages. We also offer international certification courses found nowhere else in Uganda including CISCO INTRO and ICND, CISSP, Network+, Certified Ethical Hacking, and Mile2s certifications which cover penetration testing, wireless, secure coding, computer forensics and more. Armed with these internationally-recognized certifications, our students can land jobs located (virtually or physically) anywhere in the world.

Our course material is donated from generous private and corporate donors and due to bandwidth limitations, all content is stored locally on our servers within the center. Peter over at The Academy was kind enough to donate his entire library of training videos! These videos cover all sorts of amazing system administration, security and networking topics in very cool bite-sized video chunks.

Lynda.com donated ten CDs of their training material including Microsoft Word 2003 and 2007 Essentials, Excel 2003 and 2007 Essentials, PowerPoint 2003 and 2007 Essentials, Access 2003 and 2007 Essentials, Windows XP Essentials and Windows Vista Essential, a donation retailing for approximately $500 US.

Total Training provided us with a discount on a large training purchase, which included their Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master collection and Advanced Design Bundle. The discount saved us approximately $250.

Laura Chappell donated 75 copies of her Master Library, covering some awesome network and protocol analysis topics. The set retails for thousands of dollars.

The Goodwill Community Foundation offers some pretty slick training in lots of computer-related topics, and its all FREE! Its really great stuff. One of our volunteers in the US was kind enough to send a DVD of their courses.

Hospice El Paso, a not-for-profit organization, is the oldest Hospice in our community. The mission of Hospice El Paso is simple: to provide comfort, care, hope, and choice to patients at the end of life’s journey while guiding their loved ones through the grief process.

Since its inception, Hospice El Paso has worked with over 12,000 El Pasoans and their families and sets the standard for Hospice care. Each person who works for our organization, whether it is at the bedside or running the day to day operations is committed to the mission. This commitment runs deep.

Hospice El Paso, YOUR Community Hospice, is working to create relationships in our community to provide more services and we need your help. These services include outreach, satellite bereavement classes, music and pet therapy, to name a few. There are no investors to cover the shortfall, or other funds to supplement the cost for additional programs. Every year, people, just like you, contribute and every dollar given is put to good use. Your contribution of $20 a month will support the mission of Hospice El Paso and help us provide care to patients regardless of their ability to pay.
