Get the Best Fight Songs (HQ Stereo) on 20 Different Music CD’s. Please Help Support This Site.

Welcome to the “LARGEST” College Football Fight Song web site in the universe, where all the songs are now in MP3 format. I have always been a fan of college football and especially the Nittany Lions of Penn State. All the MP3’s on this site have been compressed 11 to 1 in size and reformatted in mono, all to help save webspace. It has been a rough ride these past 2-3 years as interest seems to hae waned a bit and it is more costly to keep the site up for FREE! And now certain schools like Miami (FL), Washington and Utah forced me to remove the school’s songs from the website, even though they are free to download and isn’t this kind of like FREE advertisement for those schools? And all those millions of dollars the football programs bring and to top that with the price of tuition, you would think they would want to share the songs with their alumni, current students and fans of those schools. If anyone can help, please do to get those songs back up and available on this site. I am also in the process of adding as many or all of the football schools from the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision). After completion, there will be well over 1,000 total songs for you FREE to download. I will also be reformatting all the music CD’s, moving teams to the correct conference CD and adding all the new schools, even the FCS schools.

Also, you will still be able to purchase your favorite school songs via email for $5 or less per school or per conference. Especially the FCS conferences, where 1-2 schools songs will be prevailant throughout. You will want the higher quality songs for your ringtone(s) on your cellphone and iPhones. But please don’t forget about the CD’s, they also help in the funding for this site or shopping at one of the sponsors on this site. And if you are not considering a purchase at this time, please consider a friendly donation of $10 or $20 or any value at that to make sure this website stays up and running for many years to come and into the future. Thank you very much for your continued support.

College Football Fight Music CD’s (21 Volumes)

My College Football Fight Music CD/MP3 Store has changed many times over the years as the NCAA Football Conference realignment is a never ending process as money dictates which schools play in the
(5) major BCS conferences and who play in the other FBS mid-major football conferences. My collection now contains 21 different CD’s, with Volumes 1 & 13 focus on all five of the power five conferences (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, PAC-12, SEC and Notre Dame). These same conferences are also focused on: Volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 19, 20 and 14 (alma maters). The mid-major conferences, which now include the AAC, CONF-USA, MAC, MWC an the SUNBELT are representive on Volumes 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15 (alma maters). I also now have different fight music CD’s (Volumes 16, 17 and 18 (alma maters) focusing on the schools from the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision). Of course it is impossible to include all the songs on the CD’s, thats for both the FCS and FBS CD’s, so you can also purchase the individual songs from each college for only $1-$5 each depending on the number of songs I have available. And if you already purchased in the past, at least a donation would be of great help to me. To send a donation, just click on the PayPal banner just below. Thank you very much.

Munsinger Gardens

From Sawmill to Flower Garden

The history of St. Cloud’s Munsinger Gardens may be compared to the garden’s well-worn paths; for both have interesting and unexpected turns. During the 1880s the lower east bank of the Mississippi River was the site of a sawmill. But by 1915 the city purchased the area for use as a neighborhood park. Eventually, the site became known as Riverside Park and Munsinger Gardens, the latter section named in honor of a former superintendent of parks, Joseph Munsinger. Munsinger Gardens has experienced many different stages of development. Improvements to the gardens occurred during the Great Depression through the Works Progress Administration. Projects from this period included planting trees and flowerbeds. Other additions included the creation of rock-lined paths, a lily pond, and a fountain. However, most of the work in developing the garden was directed by Joseph Munsinger. The first greenhouse was built in 1938. While the original greenhouse is gone, new ones stand in its place, and garden staff continues the tradition of growing flowers that help beautify this wonderful jewel known as Munsinger Gardens.

Larry the Cable Guy on Apple Music #listen, #larry #the #cable #guy,

Larry the Cable Guy

The man who added the catch phrases Git-R-Done and Lord, I Apologize to the American lexicon and drew fans by the pickup truckload to his shows proved to be one of the most successful comics of the early 2000s. Dan Whitney, known better as Larry the Cable Guy, claims he was born in the back of an El Camino during a Foghat concert. His drawl may sound Southern, but Larry was raised on a pig farm in Pawnee City, NE. His upbringing was conservative, traditional, and churchgoing. That didn t mean that strip bars were out of the question when Larry reached 18 (maybe even a little earlier). Fascinated by this redneck life — redneck being a term he is not only fine with, but endorses — and always looking to comment on it, Larry used his humorous observations to captivate his friends, who dared him to try his hand at standup. He did in 1986 and the fans reaction to his slow, approachable style had him hooked. Two years later, he relinquished his title as funniest bellhop at the Ramada Inn and set out for a career in comedy.

His one-liner-filled act soon caught word-of-mouth fire in the South and brought him to the attention of television. Appearances on Evening at the Improv and Comic Strip Live increased his fan base past rural America, but it was on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Show on radio that Larry got the most exposure. His success with radio continued when he became a regular on Jeff Foxworthy s Country Countdown Show and Larry soon started syndicating his commentaries to 14 markets across the country. In 2000 Foxworthy invited the comic to join his Blue Collar Comedy Tour, along with Bill Engvall. The successful tour grossed $15 million, sold more than 1 million copies when released on DVD, and turned Larry into a superstar. His debut CD, Lord, I Apologize, appeared in 2001 and became the Dark Side of the Moon of the comedy charts — sticking in the Top 20 for two years running.

In 2002, a Comedy Central airing of Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie became the network s highest-rated movie in its 12-year history, even with the DVD widely available. Larry the Cable Guy: Git-R-Done became his first solo DVD in 2003, and a year later Larry, Foxworthy, and Engvall turned their tour into the highly rated television show Blue Collar TV. Wearing his redneckness as a badge of honor while hating political correctness and racism equally made Larry a hard target for detractors, but he made news with a 2004 appearance on the morning talk show The View. Clay Aiken fans bombarded the show and the comic with hate email when the comic declared, I m on the Clay Aiken diet. That s where you pop in a Clay Aiken CD and try to keep food down.

Ignoring the controversy, Larry spread holiday cheer at the end of the year with his new CD, A Very Larry Christmas, and appeared on Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again. The Right to Bare Arms appeared in March the next year. The year 2006 was devoted mostly to film, with Larry starring in his own feature film, Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, and supplying the voice of Mater in the animated Disney/Pixar film Cars. He also appeared on the CD and DVD Blue Collar Comedy Tour: One for the Road that year, before returning to his solo career in early 2007 with the album Morning Constitutions. By the end of 2007 his second holiday effort, Christmastime in Larryland, hit the shelves.

There are various forms of scholarship assistance at UConn; information can be found on the UConn admissions website. The Department of Music also offers scholarship opportunities based on several factors:

  1. Talent — based solely on the student s abilities on his or her respective instrument.
  2. Departmental need — the need of the Department to balance studios and ensembles and to meet the curricular needs of all students.
  3. Specific scholarships — donor wishes to aid players of specific instruments.

All awards are determined on the basis of the above criteria, academic standing, and musical potential.

Note: scholarship students must be enrolled full time during the course of their academic careers, maintain an appropriate grade-point average, and demonstrate timely persistence to graduation.

Graduate Applications and Auditions

All graduate applicants in music must submit a completed application online to the Graduate School of the University of Connecticut. Other information and materials are required by the Department of Music depending upon the particular degree sought by the applicant. Please see for complete information about all graduate programs and their requirements.

For audition requirements, please go to Audition Requirements. Please note that if, after review of your completed application, the Admissions Committee for your intended program decides to invite you to audition, you will be contacted by the faculty member chairing that committee to arrange an individual audition time. If you are invited to audition, the live audition is a requirement for admission, even for international students. The general audition dates that appear on the website audition page are for applicants at the *undergraduate* level, not the graduate level. The one exception to this procedure is the Voice area, which does allow graduate applicants to schedule auditions, subject to availability, on the undergraduate audition days. For Voice, see the Vocal Studies page.

Welcome to the Archdiocese of Baltimore #baltimore #music #school

June 3, 2017 Archbishop William E. Lori

God’s Son became one of us and died on the Cross to restore our relationship to the Father, undermined by sin. And, as Pope Francis teaches, “From the immense gift of love which is Jesus’ death on the Cross, the Holy Spirit has been poured out on humanity like a vast torrent of grace.”

June 3, 2017 Archbishop William E. Lori

Through the Spirit, we share in the unique Son-ship of Christ and for that reason we claim God as our Father and as members of his family, the Church, we experience his goodness and mercy –the fullness of life and love for which our human spirit longs.

May 28, 2017 Archbishop William E. Lori

The Risen Lord is sending us on mission, a mission of evangelization. Even if we don’t feel quite prepared for it, not quite properly formed, doubtful about our chances of success, hesitant to engage others about the faith, the Lord is telling us, as he told the Apostles, “You will be my witnesses. to the ends of the earth.”

May 27, 2017 Archbishop William E. Lori

As deacons, and later, God willing, as priests, I urge to build on what you’ve been given. Ensure that every day includes Holy Mass, the Breviary, a Holy Hour, and the Rosary. Punctuate your day with prayer, with meditation, and with praise.

May 25, 2017 Archbishop William E. Lori

Let us ask St. Bede to pray for us that our lives might be marked as his was by the love of learning and the desire for God.

As disciples of Jesus our mission is:
Evangelization: to evangelize ourselves, our families, our parish and local communities, and our world.
Liturgy: to celebrate our faith with joy through vibrant and prayerful worship.
Education: to educate and become educated in the truths of the Gospel and in the formation of conscience.
Service: to reach out in love and service to those in need.
Stewardship: to develop the material, financial and human resources of the Church and to manage them as faithful stewards.

About us

Welcome to Emerald Schools

raising role models

Emerald High School was established in 2005 as a progression from the highly academically successful Emerald Nursery and Primary School in Lagos, which was established in 1995. The establishment of Emerald High School was in response to the yearnings of parents in the primary school and the need to bridge the gap in providing high quality Secondary School Education in the country. We are aware of the problems of today’s child, which include a hostile society that has not much to offer by way of values/morals and cramped learning environment, which do not help the child to attain his/her full potentials. With a view to making the difference, we at Emerald took cognizance of the gaps in the education sector in deciding what facilities and personnel to emplace, right from the inception of the school.

The permanent site, which became operational from September 2007 gives us even a better opportunity to explore all possibilities in child development. It is located in a 34 acres farmland in the serene valley of the sleepy Ogunrun-Ori Village in Ogun State, a mere 25 minutes leisurely drive from the former Toll Gate at the Lagos end of the Lagos-Ibadan Express Road. It is easily accessible from every part of the country by road or by air through Ibadan or Lagos axis. It is indeed an ideal learning environment because of its calm and beautiful scenery and insulation from city noise.

The Board of Governors, which is made up of men and women who have distinguished themselves in their chosen professions, which include Accounting, Banking, Human Resources Management, Education and Public Service, is very confident of the quality of education it has fashioned out. No wonder then that many of the members have/had their children in the school.

The school believes in building a solid foundation for the child, and as such goes to great length in emplacing holistic education programmes that incorporates best practices. We are always conscious of our vision of becoming a widely acclaimed school both locally and internationally and as such, we strive to turn out students with passion for excellence and who have been adequately prepared for tertiary education and life. We have put in place modern structures, quality manpower, condusive environment and adequate support services that a good school needs to run smoothly. Furthermore we have emplaced good security measures, students’ performance enhancing programmes, co-curricular activities, foreign Students exchange programmes coupled with regular visits to places of educational and social interest. We operate a robust information technology platform where students and teachers interact through their laptops and wide range network to complement classroom delivery.

We handle with care the health and comfort of our students. The hostels are run by competent personnel and that are constantly being trained to cope with day to day challenges of a modern day hostel. The clinic is stocked with good quality drugs under the supervision of qualified matrons and other experienced medical staff. We have a working agreement with a nearby high standard hospital where health cases are referred and treated when the need arises.

Our curriculum is a blend of British and Nigerian curriculum and the students write the following examinations: IGCSE, Checkpoint, NECO (Junior School) BECE and WASSCE. We also tutor students for TOEFL and SAT.

The results have been impressive over the years and to sustain this, our teachers are regularly trained both locally and abroad. All students have an insurance cover provided by a prominent insurance service provider. The insurance policy covers the students to the extent that in the unlikely event of the loss of the breadwinner (who is named in the policy) while in the school, they are able to continue their education.

The parents play a very important role in determining some of the policies of the school on the platform of the Parents Management Forum(PMF). The PMF of the school is headed by officers of high reputation and commitment who have been elected from the Parents. The parents on this platform partner with the school on various fronts in the education of the children.

Your choice of Emerald High School is a good decision and it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Emerald High School, where together, we shall raise role models.

Music Therapy Helps the Dying

July 3, 2011

Every week, three music therapists from MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care crisscross the city and suburbs to sing songs to the dying. With guitars strapped to their backs, a flute or tambourine and a songbook jammed in their backpacks, they play music for more than 100 patients, in housing projects, in nursing homes and even in a lavish waterfront home. The time for chemotherapy and radiation is over.

The music begins: a song to hold death at bay, a song to embrace death, or to praise God. A Vietnam veteran asks for a song in Vietnamese. One man asked only for songs with death in the lyrics, to force his family to talk to him about the future. He was ready to talk about it. They weren’t. So the therapist sang Queen’s version of “Another One Bites the Dust.” “Amazing Grace” and other spiritual songs are most often requested just before death.

James D. Williams, 85, of Brooklyn, who is dying of cancer, says, “Right now I am on borrowed time.” A therapist, Charla Burton, visits to sing hymns with Mr. Williams and his wife of 61 years, Daphne, 79. “The Lord has kept me and I am very grateful,” Mr. Williams says. “With the backup of my wife. She holds on to me.” Both were born in Belize, and their songs, part of their spiritual practice, have a joyful Caribbean lilt.

In Oceanside, N.Y. Merle Gross, 73, is dying of breast cancer. Sitting beside an ocean inlet, she and Ms. Burton make selections for a songbook she wants to leave behind. If there is time enough, it will include songs for every member of her family, all the people she loved and her dog, Shayna.

And in a Manhattan housing project, a mother cradles her 6-month-old daughter, Cecilia, and Meredith Traver plays a lullaby on her guitar, softly singing the words, “Papa is going to buy you a mockingbird.”

One of the youngest patients in the program, Cecilia Havre, has a genetic defect, Trisomy 18; half those born with this disorder do not survive beyond the first week of life. The baby smiles at her mother, Chantel Vazquez, and her father, Eddie Havre. Cecilia is deaf, but the music soothes her parents. Cecilia is thriving in hospice — or end-of-life — care and may be moved to palliative care, where treatment may be incorporated.

Rose Vuolo, 86, an Alzheimer’s patient on Long Island, has had visits from Ms. Burton for four months.

Rose rarely speaks. “She has gotten progressively worse,” says her grandson, Paul Motisi. “It’s become constant confusion.” Except sometimes when Ms. Burton visits.

Ms. Burton plays the Cole Porter song “Begin the Beguine” — the lyrics of which even Cole Porter said he could not remember without the sheet music. Yet on a good day, Rose sings along, with perfect pitch and range. It was the song she and her husband danced to at their wedding.

Millicent Wilson, 94, who is dying of colon cancer in the Bronx, stopped singing after her husband died and she got sick, says her son, Mark V. Wilson, who stopped working to take care of her. But because of her music therapist, Yelena Zatulovsky, his mother is singing again.

At the end of a song, she asks him, “Mark, why don’t you dance anymore?”

We’re interested in your feedback on this page. Tell us what you think.

Brandeis University’s graduate programs in Music concentrate in two areas: Composition and Theory and Musicology.

Composition and Theory

The department offers three degree programs in composition and theory: MA (normally one year), MFA (normally two years), and PhD (normally two or more years following the completion of MFA requirements). The programs are designed to help students develop a command of the craft of composition. That objective is supported by studies in theory and analysis and in electro-acoustic music.

The department offers three degree programs in musicology: MA (normally one year), MFA (normally two years), and PhD (normally two or more years following the completion of MFA requirements). The programs offer an integrated approach to the understanding of the nature, structural basis, and historical development of music. Students may elect to emphasize or concentrate in music history or in theory and analysis. In the music history program, a variety of techniques and methodologies, including style development, source studies, and historiography, are applied to different repertories and historical problems. The theory and analysis program features work in the history of theory as well as analytic work in the context of theory construction involving the evaluation of pretonal, tonal, and contemporary analytic models.
