Careers at Hospice of Northwest Ohio

You began a career in healthcare to help others and to be fulfilled by your efforts. But the demands of today s healthcare can seem like a treadmill, moving from one patient or task to the next, not feeling like you re allowed the time to do your best work or make the biggest difference. Maybe it s time to explore a different part of the healthcare continuum.

Consider the opportunity to work for an organization that supports people during one of life s most challenging times when they are living with a chronic serious illness, coping with a terminal condition or dealing with the loss of a loved one. An organization that allows the time necessary to build relationships, dig deeper and make an impact that surpasses even your high expectations. That place is, perhaps surprisingly, Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Join the expert team at Hospice of Northwest Ohio to experience:

  • An environment of true collaboration, respect and trust
  • Extensive training and ongoing education
  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Opportunities across a continuum of care

More 0 STAR HOTEL. You get what you pay for. I give it 1 star because I didn t get bitten by bedbugs. BAD NEWS 1ST: The tile floor in room was not swept, crumbs all over it. Room was damp, humid musty. A HUGE ROACH CRAWLED FROM BEHIND THE HEADBOARD (AS FAT AS MY THUMB LONGER) almost 1 hour after our arrival. My husband smashed it didn t see any other bugs. People above me walked back forth all night, causing the ceiling to squeak all night. I paid a REFUNDABLE $10 deposit for the iron ironing board. When I returned it, they didn t have any record of it didn t return my 10 bucks. Constant strong weed smell in lobby elevator, parking lot/lobby drama from stripper/prostitute guests. MEDIOCRE NEWS: Big spacious rooms, with fridge microwave nice 32inch flat screen with working remote. Good water pressure in shower water stayed hot. Bed seemed clean sheets smelled fresh.

Hospice

Orange City Area Hospice

Hospice is a concept of caring for a person in the last stages of life. It is not a place, but rather a comprehensive service available to meet the needs of the individual and their family. Hospice does not hasten the time of death, nor does it postpone death. Hospice helps people live each day with comfort and dignity, retaining their individuality and control over their lives. Through skilled care, counseling, support and education, hospice helps people seek the best possible quality of life.

Hospice care involves a physician directed, specially trained team approach to care because Orange City Home Health Hospice recognizes that the diverse and sometimes urgent needs of the individual and family cannot be met by any one person. Under the physician’s direction, the hospice team specializes in pain and symptom management, emotional, and spiritual support. The team assists the patients and families to make the most of life.

Hospice is open to people of all ages who have a life-limiting or terminal illness, have the consent of their family physician, and who have decided to receive comfort care rather than curative care.

Hospice services can be provided in home environment, nursing home or hospital setting depending on the needs of the individual and family.

When decisions are difficult … when you need comfort and support – you are not alone. Hospice is here … 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Caregivers …. learn more about hospice and get the support you need by visiting the Caring Connections web site.

Orange City Area Home Health Hospice is a partner with the We Honor Veterans program.

For more information on home health or hospice services, Orange City Home Health Hospice is located at 400 Central Ave. NW. Our telephone number is 712.737.5279 or 1.800.808.6264 and our fax number is 712.737.5258.
